Greeting Bob's Disciples!

I just wanted to share something I found amusing last night.

So last night, logged in and sat pretty much idle for a long while, during which time on of my corp mates was scanning down the chain from our static. It was a monster, almost every wormhole scanned had 5 - 6 connecting wormholes.

So we're keen to find a Hi-sec, need to update the old clone and get some skill books, when the scanner says he's found one. Down the static, through a frig hole, into a c3 then through the HS. 15 jumps to Jita. Not too bad.

I hop in my trusty buzzard and make my way through. After I made it to Jita, I go about my business when another corppie speaks on comms:

"New Sig. Archon, Megathron, Tempest"

What a time to be out in Jita!

So I start burning through back home. So pew would be welcome after the brainmelt that is Jita local.

So the archon and battleships disappear, so we start looking for the new sig. Find it's a c5 and it's crit. the bastards crit their hole so they can run sites or whatever... damn. I'm still 10 jumps away anyway...

Anyway, at this point, I log in an alt and check the mapper and match it to our sigs in system... Weird, there is a BM without an entry in the mapper. jump on it, it's a c5 black hole.... aaaaannnnddd it's empty.

Lots of sigs to scan, so I get on. Our scanner earlier must have just assumed someone else scanned it. Any-who scan scan scan.

Couple of data sites, gas (the kind that suck), low sec, null sec and a hi-sec. Would that cool, don't see those often in a C5.

Down the rabbit hole, where does it go?

3 Jumps from Jita...

This I discover as I'm jumping back into our home wormhole after 19 jumps. Lesson of the day? always scan your chain down folks :) you never know when Bob is going to give you a shortcut.

Anyone else have any instances when they were like, "man wish I scanned X or did Y earlier"?

Came here expecting a Wormhole version of "Jedi Rocks"...

...

...left very dissapointed and somewhat worried for the OP...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Just think, if you were helping scan down the chain instead of being idle, you might have finished the chain in time to actually catch that hole rolling fleet Blink

activeness is next to bobliness?

"C-Zero" by Moo

My connection, nullsec C1
There's no connection, to hisec
I'm your static, a C-Zero
I'm your face in the dreams of cash

So save your paste
For when you're really gonna need'em
Throw out your probes and scan
Wanna go for a roam?

Need hisec C3
It's all I really want oh yeah
Need hisec C3

Bobliness is scannyness and scannyness is activeness and activeness is wormholiness and wormholes are empty, just like me

[Need a guitar riff here - Beeeoooo boo ba dooo (Jiggychickawoooow)]

Intoxicated on your sadness, I'm in love with your badness
Bullshit carebears, PI kingdoms,
Eviction victims self destructing ships

I never let up, with all the soundboarding ****
I never keyed up, just pressed butans

You blame Fozzie, for when you can't adapt
You blame your scouts for not scanning more

Need hisec C3
It's all I really want oh yeah
Need hisec C3

Reference for the kiddies

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.
