It would be interesting and helpful if we could make offers on items for sale. LIke someone offers 10 items B for 500,000 ISK, I suggest an option that would allow you to right click and make an offer on that particular item, (say 3x B @ 400,000k) It would be like auction options on all trades. It could be treated the same as a standard buy request except that it would be specific to a particular trade.

While it sounds useful this might well be more trouble than its worth.

Everywhere outside of the hubs would have mods listed for 10m and even if there were some sort of automated system to accept certain bids it'd still become a tiresome guessing game to see how much you could fit a ship for.

I have no idea about the practicalities of implementing this but it could be interesting.

Sounds like you are frustrated at the continuous 0.01isking. This is sadly part of the game and circumventing it with this system you'd have dozens of people once again 0.01isking themselves on these trades.

I have no idea where you get this from, I see this as interactive commerce between seller and potential buyers. With his suggestion in place he isnt going to accept an offer because it is 1isk more than the last guys offer.

Your suggestion still leaves room for bidding wars and that is essentially the same thing as the current buy order system. If you want 3 of an item for 400k, then create a buy order for 3 @ 400k.

While I'm not specifically against this idea, I don't see how it would really change anything.

That said, I don't support it. If you want to "make an offer" on an item then just make a buy order. It is functionally identical to what you want.
