1 and 2 are really good but i love 4!

3 is good but i believe the stars stand out to much which would be fixed with the brush idea and the color mixing idea. as for the aurora stands out alittle to much for a planet that isnt mostly red which has already been covered. I may need correcting on this but i believe most planets show a much more noticable blueish hue on one side and a much less noticable redish hue on the other. and that is used to determine in which direction the planet is rotating (towards the red/less noticable side). atleast thats what i was taught 5 years ago in astronomy no idea if its true.

all in all very well done. dont let the planet discourage you from trying more objects, wouldnt mind seeing an apoc vs mega in gallente space lol

I recommend imgur.com over photobucket. Much shorter URLs for one.

They suck but better than what I ever did. Whats up with the dots? They ruin it.

Work on it.

Sorry.

OP, i'm not trolling, or in any way, attempting to be mean, but i think - and this is based solely on seeing your paintings via online - that your artwork lacks a couple of vital elements.

first, you need to make the stars appear at different light intervals. that is, each star is at a different distance from the viewer, hence the luminosity of each star will be different.

secondly, more detail needs to be added to the stars and nebula. that will vastly improve the overall effect.

in closing, i'd like to say i think your effort in the first picture is awesome. well done! just check out my suggestions and continue down your chosen path! X

Nice paintings, specially the last one.

I´ve painted a lot but never with acrilic or space themes so I can´t give you any advice except maybe to use a compass (a simple pencil tied with a string will also do it ) in order to make a previus sketch of the spheres, and the day/night meridian. It's very difficult to draw geometric forms just by freehand and and due to how you have placed the planet (center of the composition, lack of other "strong" objects) drawing imperfections are highlighted.
