So, instead of having a bunch of files with a lot of the same data, you now move to 1 database?

If someone wanted to, they could manipulate the data in the files and make a Kaalakiota Rokh or SOE Rorqual?

How much of a pain would it be for a 3rd party to make a web tool that does this?

Vincent accurately cuts to the heart of the silly concern some people still cling to.

I'll never understand why people still think the NES means you have to pay with cash.

Cash is an option, the store is for convenience and tracking purposes, and AUR is merely an alternative type of currency that is broken down into smaller bits than using a whole PLEX.

If you have plenty of ISK, use ISK.
If you have plenty of cash and little ISK, use cash.

Your only three concerns need be:
1: Will the ship customizations and/or skins continue to be destructible? (Hopefully yes).
2: Will the mechanic be easily affordable, so that everyone will feel comfortable using them? (Again, hopefully yes).
3: When we can create our own customized skins, will we be able to save and sell them? (Really needs to be a yes as well).

So this should allow for such crazy things as say - using the Minmatar and Amarr frigate lineup with a Blood Raider skin for missions against the Blood Raiders? or gallentean drone boats and caldari missile hulls for Guristas? or or or ... *

Hey it even opens up L5s against pirate facctions without unique designs. Print the Guri camo on a Chimera - done; the Serpentis Camo on a Moros - done. Would explain how the pirates keep operating so far out from anything that is blue to them.
There are a lot of potentiall uses for this outside of "I want underfloorlights on my Tengu."-kind of ambitions.

I fired up the new Space Object Factory tools and made a Blood Raider Dragoon and Blood Raider Oracle. Confirmed that they look awesome.

Wish I could post pics, but I'd need to run it past all kinds of busy people first, so it likely won't happen.
