hey guys :)

qeustion here:

i'm using a heavy Nos on my mission ship, and i'm wondering if my nos leeches cap from a npc/rat or not?
does anyone have any experience with this?

i dont try to cap them out, i know that doesnt work, but that little bit of cap i try to leech does help my tank a lot.

So your qeustion is asking if if your nos is working and then immediately stating that it is helping your tank to use it?

Wouldn't that be a self answered qeustion?

yes but you need to keep switching targets as they do not provide infinite cap. You can also drain cap from youre drones, not a lot... but you can get some. shield and armor bot's have the most cap, again, its not going to last long as their recharge time is low.

... What next ??

Cap war works on npc's , just not the same way as on player's.

On npc's it reduces their ability to tank but you can't cap them out.

it kinda works, but I wouldn't rely on it at all.

The most useful place for a NOS, in my experience to date, was on a C2 site runner Hurricane. I had an AC fit and made heavy use of MWD as the rats are kind of spread out. Sleeper rats have infinite, or at least effectively infinite, cap, so anytime I got within NOS range I sucked some cap out of 'em to get ready for the charge to the next group. This was about a year ago, haven't been in W-space too much since but I believe this is still an accurate description of things.
