Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I'm on a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro x64, and a fresh install of EVE, and the launcher doesn't work. At least before today I've been able to play through direct client exe. Now, there's a patch, and I'm unable to get the patch. Seems logging directly into the client no longer works to obtain patching. Bug reported already as I can get to the web pages that the launcher uses.

So, now I can't play, and that sucks. So, I figure over some beer and smart peoples, maybe this can get figured out so I can market peeveepee again.

so running the repair.exe --safemode at least patched the client so I can go back to using /bin .exe

Launcher still busted

Just tried removing the launcher folder, then re-installed the launcher, still a no go.

Disabling Kaspersky did allow the launcher to work which is strange, because my other computer which is also running both Kaspersky and Windows 7 pro x64 has no issues.

At least I know that it's something with Kaspersky.
