Seems like all the EU people had 'Advanced Socket Upgrades' to 5 as we all stayed logged in. (at least that's how it went in corp)

My client disconnects enough on a regular basis. So I have no idea. Like somebody pooped in the swamp.

Another day, another loss to CCP's server issues. For solo pvpers like me the game has been unplayable for months. Can't remember staying connected for my whole play session in 2 months.

Meh, for my part I understand the why of it. Fortunately, unlike last time the game was unplayable, I have something to occupy myself with. Destiny is about as much fun as I could ask from a shooter.

I was in the middle of a rant in Local at the time. By the time I got back, the original audience were all gone. So no point starting over again. Tens of minutes of work-- lost forever. Where were you during the great DC?

The player base creates the content and now you expect CCP to maintain the servers? What a bunch of lazy bastards.

Think of the disconnects as emergent gameplay and things seem sooooo much better.

Most of the time if there is a consistent issue, it's the players own connection.

If there is a mass DC, it's almost always one of the general internet hubs that CCP DOES NOT CONTROL!
I know it's hard to believe, but there are servers between you and CCP that they can't control that your internet traffic goes through, and when one of those servers goes down, your connection to EVE gets cut even though it's nothing to do with CCP.

TLDR. Learn to Internet, not all DC's are CCP's fault.

Take a look at this post. CCP has admitted it is their problem, not our ISP's. From what I understand thousands of players are having disconnects every single day for 2 months. The game has been and is unplayable for solo pvpers.

Doc... *looks nervous* what are you doing? You haven't vented the servers again have you. Furybot doesn't start lockable threads, he points people in the right direction and tells them that ISDs are enroute.

I think someone needs a memory wipe...

I guess I am lucky to have a Fiber Optic line that runs close to me. I live 45 minutes from 2 major internet hubs and 3 hours from the New York hub. The only thing I ever get once in awhile is that socket closed bs. I give it a day or 2 then all is good for me. Just remember to power down all routers and the modem. Sometimes that is the main culprit. Or it could be CCP at their end as has been pointed out.

No, that's not what CCP said at all.
DDoS attacks are not CCP's servers fault.

Like I said, learn to internet, actually learn how this stuff works.
