On the character info page they should have some sort of drug use meter,

mild -> severe

The more you do boosters the more potent they should be (or another positive effect), but also feel worse (or different) side effects when you're not doing them.

Also, they should make your character lose weight and become more pale and attractive.

Also, they should add an affect in the CQ because right now I'm doing them for no reason

So, just to clarify: you're sitting alone in your room looking at your computer, role-playing a character who's sitting alone in their room looking at their TV while doing drugs. And the only thing you see wrong with this picture is that the drugs don't have visible side-effects?

With all due respect, I think this is one of those times where maybe a change of scenery is in order....

What do consuming boosters do right now in CQ?

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

On a serious note i'd like to explore the idea of addictive preperties for boosters in EvE. More layers to the consequences would be cool.

I would like some sort of effect with the narcotic drugs. I have a huge pile of them for my role of the drug lord but they just gather dust.

How may I drug you with drugs?

Just to clarify how drugs work for you in real life (and how they should in game also imo)

You start with a weak drug doing it alot over time. Eventually, it doesnt give you the same high. You move to a medium strength drug. Eventually, it doesnt give you the same high. You go to strong drug. Eventually, it doesnt give you the same high. You go to strongest drug. You overdose and die.

That sucks for you since youre not in your pod with the neaural scanner to fling you into a new clone. Damn that CQ.

So everyone who smokes weed is going to become a heroin addict and die? I think you've been watching too much of those anti drug commercials :).

Funny how as little as 2 generations ago, depending on where you live, almost everyone was taking opium (paregoric and laudanum) for pretty much any ailment on a regular basis, and society did not descend into an anarchistic or hippie-infested hell. Drugs are not the problem, it's people that are the problem. People with mental health issues follow the slippery slope you describe because they are attempting to self-medicate their problems. However they are the minority.

As proof I offer the fact that almost everyone has tried drugs at one time or another during their youth, and yet very very few people are addicts.

So perhaps your toon should have a hidden variable which determines if he becomes an addict or not. Then if he becomes an addict, he should suffer the full consequences of the "war on drugs" commercial you described. And if not, well, using a booster once in a while would just make him stupid while he was using it.

The real problem is people like the OP.... who quite clearly thinks "Drugs=Cool". He also obviously thinks that taking about doing them will make him seem 'Cool'.

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I never said anyone was an addict, just a consistent drug user. Watching too much of the "war on drugs"? Not really, those commercials have been around since before I was born in 1984.

Its a proven fact that over a long period of time, doing the same type of drug daily diminishes the effects because your body becomes accustomed to the effects the drug has on it. Example in action would be a person drinking alcohol daily. Eventually, their body needs more and more alcohol to produce the same "drunk effect". The same applies to coc-aine, her-oin, ect. Needing more of a drug to get the same high as 6 months to a year prior is what eventually leads people to overdosing more than their body can handle. Yet another example; Someone who has been a her-oin addict for five years will be able to (and require) more and/or stronger her-oin to produce the same high than somone who has just begun to use her-oin.

Or is this still too much watching tv on the "war on drugs"? Which btw, I feel is a total and complete waste of my god damned tax paying dollars. Just legalize the damn drugs so I can get a coke with some ******* coke in it again!

Edit....Im going to go around the stupid filter because blocking her-oin and coc-aine is rediculous.
