Keyboard stops responding to input

Sometimes the keyboard inputs stops being processed by the client. mouse commands are processed as usual and keyboard works in other programs. It resolves itself within 30 to 60 seconds which is a long time when you are under attack.
It seems to happen more often when I switch back to the client from an other application but also during game play.

I play on a laptop with a touchpad because reasons so I use the keyboard extensively. So this is a big issue for me.
