1. It's not "an impeachment of some of the game design," the game IS designed to be the way it is. It's merely a sign that this isn't the game for him. I dont mean that in a snarky way, either, I'm just saying that not everyone is going to like the playstyle of Eve, just like some people dont like the Kung Fu Pandas in WoW.

Man, this game is full of decent people, and you can find them in places YOU would never think to look. You wanna know why I'm in the corp and alliance I am in? The Dirty PVP folks I hang around? Because they're nice, decent people. I've been with my CEO thru 2 corps, for over a year now, and many of our members have been with us over a year now, too. My CEO took me in when I was a 6 month-old clueless noob, having only been in my NPC corp.

He took me in, taught me the intricacies of the game, endured my wanting to do (woot!) level 3 missions.... he even built my first mission Harbinger for me. I started PVPing when *I* wanted to, and then there was more for him and the others to show me. Time went on, we talked on comms a lot, and we became good friends, the lot of us. Those guys helped me thru the death of a close loved one, and with a personal struggle with alcohol. I'm putting myself out there like that in a public forum so YOU can get over your f*cking STUPID notion that people like us aren't "decent," that there are "few decent people in the game."

F*cktards like you, with your attitude, spouting your assumptions that most people in this game are "indecent" just because they play the game the way it was freakin made to be played are what REALLY ruins the game. YOU are on of the "baddies." Your attitude towards other people in this community F*CKING SUX. YOU are the vocal minority, and it is YOU who has demonstrated a level of spite that honestly most ppl in this game don't have. You should GTFO of our community too. I'm sick and tired of listening to your out and out HATGEMONGERING.

Meh, no worries. This is one of those polarizing threads that, frankly, is never going to get resolved until CCP finally says, "Quit your bitching, here's a new system that will make everyone equally unhappy." We can talk about it to we're blue in the face.

It just really irks me when people say "exploit exploit exploit" when CCP has not ruled it an exploit. I tend to engage put up or shut up mode at that point.

In all seriousness, I am going to go back to my original suggestion as convuluted as it was. Make the cost of closing a corp under a wardec equal the cost of the wardec - then everyone's at least on a level playing field. You may not get to shoot anyone, but at least you know they had to toss money out the window to get away instead of being able to scoot off scot free like the present situation.

Way to conflate unrelated topics. PvP is not the problem, I love PvP - it can be loads of fun. The problem is people like the OP and others in this thread who devote all of their efforts to changing game mechanics to make it easier to kill helpless people in highsec. It's not PvP its shooting fish in a barrel, its pathetic, it serves no purpose, its done purely for tears, and yes it is not the purview of decent people. And I will continue to stay in the game and help these would be victims, and advocate against changing game mechanics to make it easier to kill them.

Whoa whoa whoa! I actually understood where you were coming from on alot of your points in this thread...until I read this. Get off your high horse man. The nicest people I have ever met during gaming have been EVE players, in particular PvP EVE players. Now I do see you as self entitled and a whiner. Honestly If you think you are better than others because you PvE and not PvP, you have problems.

Either go back WoW or with that attitude or just he silent but never think you are better than anyone because you click on little red crosses instead of doing what this game was designed for....PvP.

Some of you guys thought me crazy for suggesting that this is really just an old poster (who visitors to GD in the last year have seen in action) pretending he's new. Look at the bolded phrase, look up some posts by those posters, and tell me I'm crazy now lol.

Man I don't think any of them are asking for changes JUST to slaughter newbros. They have their opinion on changes that they think will make the game healthier. That's all. You are just assuming because you are a OMGWHATISPVPBABYDONTHURTME carebear. Newbs get blown up from time to time. It happens. I have a feeling that if anyone has mentioned they like to blow up fresh newbs (can't remember and I don't care) they were saying that because your tears are strawberry flavored and they were thirsty. Don't be wuss about stuff.

We know, but people like that have to cling to the idea the same way people cling to the idea that proper balancing of anything = "you just want me to play your way/you just want me to have to move out of high sec so you will have easy targets".

People lie like this to themselves all the time to spare their egos. That's why they respond with disbelief when actual PVE players (like me) advocate for reasonable balance measures because that just can't be. NO, it must be that people want easy kills, because if that's not way, then their whole way of thinking turns out to be wrong, and that just can't happen! lol.
