I know that AMD FX are not the bightest cpu's out there, but results on our forums for AMD:
Quote:
21 | 20 | 60 | 53 | 37
fx 8320 | 16gb | gtx760

Quote:
19 19 85 49 39
fx 8350 | 32gb | r9 280x

Quote:
17 20 158 56 50
FX 8320 | 8GB | R9 280X

VS i5 which easy go into 80+ in that scene, like:

Quote:

25 112 50 30 23
i5 2500K | 8GB | R9 270X

or everything posted here, look like a huge problem for AMD owners.

As expected!

The core 3D dlls are written by nVidia, nothing that runs good on any AMD hardware Twisted

But it runs well on Phenom II's -

Quote:

13 | 54 | 76 | 41 | 33
phenom x6 16gb r290x

Quote:

18 | 77 | 37 | 25 | 16
AMD Phenom II X6 1090t BE @ 3.7ghz | 4gb DDR3 | Nvidia GTX460

So either it jumps between cores, ore uses x87, which is emulated on AMD FX and slow as f*** (Btw, you shouldn't be using x87 instructions in XXI century)

Probably the first one since Windows scheduler is pretty bad with multicore. Give Windows a high load on one thread and you will see it jump betwen cores like a mad giving worse performance because of it.

I would try to force it to one core and see if that improves performance.

Same, first thing I tried - bind it to one real core - nothing. Tried with/without fx scheduler patches, so it's not core/cache thrashing or r`tarded windows scheduler with task jumping between cores.
When I'm at home, I'll check if cpu frequency doesn't drop to idle there (which would be strange...)
