Truth is I thought it mattered. I thought that music mattered. But does it? Bollocks! Not compared to how people matter.

I was probably asleep when you wrote this, just woke up and haven't even had coffee yet. And also, it doesn't flow like Queen does on the forums, it's a little repetitive P

I'm a bit of a loner; I have some good friends, but not that many. I tend to be socially conscious, but I'm not a 'war-hawk' (quite the opposite, in fact -- I'm a pacifist and (for religious reasons, as well as personal) a conscientious objector).

I'm stubborn, at times, and a bit of a know-it-all (though, since I became aware of it, I try very hard not to be one). If I had to describe myself in one word, it would probably be 'polymath': I love to read and write and my interests cover almost a dozen fields of study.

While I'm gregarious once you get to know me, I'm almost always uncomfortable among those I don't know. I think that's partially why I took up acting, and why I prefer the (relative) anonymity of the Internet.

Ah, my old friend Ambien. Yeah, I blacked out every night on it too, and for the first couple of weeks I was on it I would also sleepwalk.

As you've maybe seen me mention, now I only sleep 2-3 hours at a time at different hours of the day/night.

This is because my ******* psychiatrist cut me off from them because he "didn't feel comfortable contributing to my pattern of substance abuse." Well la dee fookin dah. Now I get more crazy than I usual am cuz Im sleep deprived all the time.

Anyway, Ambien is a godsend for insomniacs. Just only take it as directed ;)

I am a 31 year old woman. I was born in Vietnam and when I was younger my parents left to come to America and did not want to risk me on the boat to Hong Kong so I stayed in my village with my grand mom. Once they became citizens they sponsored me when I was 14 to come to America. I came over and was put in high school with a translator since I didn't speak English at the time. I graduated high school and went to Cali State where I earned my degree in Business with a minor in accounting and marketing option.

I started working at Expedia doing accounting and just didn't like it then I got a call from my cousin who was in Florida and worked at nail salon since the owner needed more employees. I flew out to FL and found my calling, I ran their books and saw what I wanted to do. I loved the idea of working in salons and making people feel beautiful, I got my cosmetology licenses and never looked back I built a solid following of clients and opened my own salon 2 years later as well as a beauty supply distributor that supplies the salons in panhandle.

I married an amazing man last year after we had been together for 3 years; we met at a grocery store near the salon I worked at when I first got to FL. In our free time we like to go on the boat and do some fishing, we also play EvE and hearthstone, we love Netflix and show’s like family guy, criminal minds, the office and others. I love to cook Vietnamese dishes and shopping.
I guess the weirdest part of me is making my husband eat and drink dishes that I feel are normal but he thinks is odd lol. He has not gotten over some of our ingredients in meals like pho (I mean real pho not restaurant pho), and other Vietnamese dishes I cook. However he doesn’t ask and eats it, he is a CIO of a civil engineering company so when he comes homes he looks over my books and eats the food. He is still not big on to tapioca pearls but I am working on it. :)

Our weird side is we have a cat named Lucy No Boosy El Dorossy Kitty Go Spassy that we love to death and bring him on the boat with us so he can “inspect the fish”, FYI our cat swims with us (poorly, so we have to be there with him to float his wake board to him that he jumps to when he is tired to make sure his people are ok, it’s a cat thing) so it like our little dog that comes in the water with us.

I am a proud supporter of the LAGL permit holders.

I'm pretty amazed your cat comes anywhere near the water. I've been a cat person all my life, and every one I've ever had has flat out HATED the water, lol. Pretty cool Big smile

Apparently my lack of neck beard is surprising to some people (wave to DMC) Lol

But more seriously...

Im 29 years old, and while i live in USA i have a strong Norwegian accent since i just moved here 4 years ago.
I have been told that im surprisingly blunt, which occasionally makes people feel oddly uncomfortable around me.

However, im more shy in crowds, so if you meet me in real life and you want to have an actual conversation its better to get me on my own.

I have also been told (on way to many occasions) that i look much younger then i really am. Trust me it gets tiring having to explain to people over and over again that the guy im with is actually my husband, not my father, and that his daughter is really my step daughter and not my sister P

I generally dont drink (if i do its like once a year, at least the past two years when i attended FF), but i do smoke (cigarettes). However it seems like something with my appearance makes people take it for granted that im a drug addict, a drunk, or both (its always great when someone is wondering why your trying to lie about not using drugs).

I spent most of my life working on a farm, but after moving to USA i have been working as a volunteer for a local cat shelter in California, but if someone happens to walk by with a dog except me to go "awww" and pet it. I have soft spot for dogs Smile

Im crazy about dragons, which lead me to get a tattoo of one for my 18th year birthday (my mother is still waiting for me to say "you were right, i was stupid to get this thing" Blink ). People often think that im a goth, most likely because i tend to wear a trench coat and most of my clothing is darker, and i have absolutely no interest in sci-fi. How i ended up in EVE is beyond me...
Listen to a wide variety of music (as most that follow the what are you listening today thread is aware of), i love to read, i enjoy a wide range of TV shows, and as a ginger i have a weird relationship with the sun.

Doing my best to understand some of the weird American customs, still learning the language, and constantly mess up the grammar and accidentally switch to Norwegian when im very focused on what im doing. Oh and my accent gets way thicker when im pissed.

Met my husband in EVE, i refer to him by his EVE name in real life since i cant for the life of me pronounce J's without feeling like im chocking on my own tongue, and i prefer it when people refer to me as NC instead of badly miss pronouncing my real name making it sound like they are calling me the equivalent of an old stubborn female horse Lol

Think that just about covers it, so if you ever meet me in real life you are now prepared Smile

quite a difficult question to answer TBH who i am in real in R/L errrm i like going down the pub and watching the footy (i love me footy ) been married 20 years wife hates me ...fkn cats fkn hate me Evil not got very many friends ..but the ones i have i cherish

i prefer to look at myself and think of what i have achieved in life ...was brought up in one of the most run down places in the north east of england and was sent to one of the worst performing schools in history ... left school and was thrown straight on to the scrapheap .

i thought fuk this !this isnt what im about ... so i upped sticks and moved south to find employment got a job as a postman one of the best jobs ive ever had (at that time) wouldnt do it now though ... i hear they get treated like dog shite . then got the chance to work in the IT industry and i though yeah why the **** not ...sounds like a fkn skive .. and never really looked back ive done some stuff in the IT industry that would make some peoples fkn eyes water ! ive even kicked a nuclear missile Big smile (when no one watching 0and i think the pinnicle of my otherwise worthless existence was building the police nationale database ..summat that every parent in this country should be bloody proud of ... the amount of pedo`s perverts and rapists that have been caught because of that system is unreal (im really chuffed at that )

now ive gone back to me roots just working on the helpdesk doing 2nd line support for one of the worlds biggest auditors .

some may say its a bit of a step back ... but i actually get paid more aaaand its less that 2 miles travel from my house ! so its a win win for me Lol no more paying a third of my salary on train fares !

not bad coming from a sink estate urchin methinks

just goes to show if you put the effort in ...you can sometimes get the rewards ...sometimes .
