Gate Camping.. WHich corps still do this as a daily activity?

Only 2 that I know of. Aunenen and Rancer.

Both are groups of opportunistic campers. In Rancer they wear loose pink panties and they'll poop in them and scatter like a bunch of panicked monkeys If you jump into them with a ship that actually has a gun on it.

In Aunenen you *may* get a fight if they think they can win because these guys fancy themselves more "trad pirates" and they actually have testicles (albeit not overly large ones). Try hot dropping for a few kills.

As far as I'm aware there are no entities in EVE right now that run gate camps like Dead Terrorists used to do.... where they didn't only welcome a fight, but they would take any fight you brought to them.

Yeah, you do occasionally cross desperados who are so keen to drop something that they'll just about pee themselves with anticipation if you warp to the gate in a drake.

In Khanid some friends and I used to roam around in some canes and we got dropped by multiple carriers at multiple moments in time. The M.O. was to (apparently) put a bait Raven, of all things, off a gate and then hot drop and try to catch stuff.....

I guess they didn't account for the lock times because all we did is warp back and forth to an on-grid tow-line and kill their ravens.

If there was any question of them learning over time I guess it was that they stopped using ravens and started using drakes. Fantastic adaptation of strategy there....

Sadly we weren't able to convince our allies to counter-drop them because they are all shaky-nervous about an escalation. The only thing worse than some kitey mofo who afraid to lose a ship is someone who is all chest-hair and scrotum piercings until you ask them to undock their **** and the response you get sounds like a chihuahua who got his ear bitten.

Meh, old history. Our corp used to live a few jumps from Rancer and we tried engaging them a thousand times with the same result. As soon as you actually started shooting back they would run to the station and dock up.

It was frustrating. I never really let it go :)
