The evolution of gate camps.
I would love to get suggestions on a few of the corps out
There that is considered the "best" at gate camps. I would
To talk to them about the "Art of the Camp"

Could someone give me suggestions of "the best at this"

I am still interested in speaking to any gate camping corps...

Please if possible give me a list of corps that still believe in heavy gate camping... I am interested to speak with them...

Head to system called Ami during prime time and I'm sure you will see nice camp there.

I have gone through a number of camps, and no one even bothered to try and lock me. However the last camp i went though waited until i warped off then scanned me down and blew me up. It was a good idea for them all to be on the gate, after I warped off I decided they must be waiting for something particular and I wasnt important enough.
I will never know why they were all there or why they scanned me down, but im guessing they were waiting for something and got bored.

Gatecamping is the PVP version of mining.

Unless you are waiting for a specific target to show up (like, say, freighters autopiloting thru certain systems to get to a trade hub......) it is boring, mind-numbingly boring.


Asshattery begins to occur on comms. People go AFK to walk their dog or beat their kids. And the net result is that when somebody comes thru the gate in an untanked Guardian-Vexor, it all ends in tears.

The witch hunt soon begins. Blame is spread. Awoxing occurs. Smartbombing Abbadons begin to proliferate.

Gatecamping......its just bad.

You're kind of asking "Who is the best at putting on pants" There isn't a whole lot to it. Don't get me wrong, there is fun to be had. A lot of the fun in the comms part. The pool to see how long the guy who fell asleep on the gate lasts (yeah, we could have fleet warped him, but then there would be no pool to bet on). That sort of stuff.

I'm not supposed to let folks 'not in the know' in on this, but hey, you seem like a swell guy. Here's the dirty secret to 99.98362% of all gate camps. They are alts of HS miners. Yeah, it's true. Most of your big gate camp corps/alliances are actually miner alt corps.


All fun aside, there is some guy solo smartbombing in the amamake pipes in a rokh. It's pretty ballsy. I like his style. Maybe look him up. I would say anyone can fleet up w/ 10 other dudes and perma smartbomb a gate in LS with a few support ships on standby. The solo guy (I think he's using a cloak, but not sure) well THAT is classy.

You got it backwards.... 99% of miners are alts of Pvp chars.
