Some are risk averse.. others, like us are just infinitely better than you at eve. Both types exist. You cannot take a simple value as isk efficiency and try to make a psychological analysis of a person.



Yeah I can. It may not be 100% accurate. It may put a label on you that you don't like. I don't do any psychological analysis. I see your high efficiency and in your personal case your corp, add the 2 data points and come up with my conclusion. Then I do what I see fit. Trust me on this.... you'll be ok wether I like your eve piloting style or not.

My point was I don't go by isk efficiency, but a collection of things that work for me. I'll be honest here, I haven't and probably won't look at your character stuff. It just doesn't matter to me. I think you're in a merc corp. If that's true then here's some advice - get some thicker skin and don't worry about what I think.

Now if you're thinking of joining my corp, then I'll look into things. We are taking on a few folks sellectively. You may have the stuff or you may not, but I'm sure not going to waste time looking at you unless I get something out of it.



Then I shall make a similar analysis .. calling PoH risk averse means you are completely ignorant or a player so horrible that cannot grasp the concept of being good in PVP.

I've re read and re read. It's clear to me that I've never actually proffered my opinion on you, your corp or anyone elses. I said I have an opinion, but I never gave it.

Here's my recommendation. Go to one of those day spa things. Get naked. Let them put the hot towel over your giblets. Let them put cucumbers over your eyes and the ooey gooey cream on your face. Get your toe nails done. Breath in the soft sweet aroma of that cangle on the back table. Breath deeply. Listen to the waterfall in the lobby. Just kind of sink back into your self and go with the Enya music playing in the back ground.



TL/DR

Please relax a bit.

OP, your post is a breath of fresh air! I tend to keep an eye on my KB as to know when to tighten up my belt but I have found that not giving it too much emphasis is the only way to truly enjoy Eve.

I'm surprised, to be honest, at the number of people who posted on this thread without saying, "the OP fails at EVE" or "the only thing worse than a loser is a loser who posts about it" .....or whatever. I was really expecting people to react to this with chest thumping and counting pubic hairs.

I'm flattered, in some way, by the number of people who have said that I somehow got my fingers behind the key to enjoying EVE. To be honest, I feel that way too.

I think for the next few weeks I'll run nothing but T1/T2 frigate roams so I can share this experience of realizing that winning and having fun are not necessarily the same.

Of course having fun AND winning is the bigger kick. Lets' not be naieve. But having fun MAKES you the winner... and I want to get this thinking out there. I can't pretend that I can cause a paradigm shift through all of EVE but I have access to a lot of newbies who are flying in their first fleets and I by my reaction to a fight I can help them realise that winning EVE and having fun in EVE are two different things.

Massive thank you to everyone who posted in this thread!
