Looping WH connections.....

I did a search to check for prior posts and no one seems to have a thread up. Last night we connected to a C4 with the connection initiated on our home side. We scanned out the C4 to find that their Static actually connected to us as well ! The end result is two connections between two W-space systems. I wonder if this is working as expected or not? Me and the guys were wondering if anyone else has noticed this. We are in a C3.

I am NOT crazy they made me take my medication this morning!

Our hole once connected to a C4, that connected to a C2, that connected to us. That was the end of the chain...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

This has happened before. It is also possible for your system to link to itself IIRC. A.K.A c4-c4 links to itself, might have been done away with in a patch, but I heard reports of it happening VERY VERY rarely.

I have seen this before. It's rare but it happens.

Thanks for the responses. It must be pretty rare I've not noticed this in the year we have occupied this hole.

For that you must have a same static as the class of your own wormhole, and no, that is not possible by the game mechanics for a very very long time now.

In a random system it's statistically inevitable.

back in 2012 we lived in a c5-c6. We scanned out our static c6 and found only the 2 wh sigs. The one sig was out wh the other was a c5 (the c6's static) we jumped in and POOF back into our c5. We then had 2 wh's leading to the exact same place. After much chatter on the subject we decided to roll the wh's as it did not give us a chain at all. SOOO we took 3 caps into the c6 popped hole #1 then popped hole #2 on our way back hom.(super nice to be able to do that). After teh wh's had popped we ran sites for about 2-3 hours. After this we scanned out our new static. To our suprise it was the same c6 (? statistically it can happen!) SInce already had all the info into siggy we knew what new sig was the static scanned it out jumped into it and wait..........we went back to our c5 again!!!!! In our sheer terror of what we just witnessed half of us ragged logged while the other half decided that we needed to get hammered as it was a sign from bob that we shouldnt leave our wh to day.

It's that uncommon dude, sometimes our H296 goes into another C5 > C5 and their H296 just opens up right back into home.

Intoxication is the most effective of warp scramblers.

The question is. Is that really your wormhole you looped back to or some alternate reality wormhole? I mean it is a "wormhole".

All joking aside it makes for a cool story. Like that guy everyone knows that tried to kill a rat with a bomb, and blew themselves up.

Yeah I've seen this before. Went something like Home -> C4 -> C4 -> Home. Such chains are always pretty fun!

Another odd example was an outbound wormhole from our home system to a nullsec which contained an outbound wormhole to... our home system. So Home -> Null -> Home.

It is also possible to roll a hole only to get the same connection a second time, ive seen that too. Odd but happens err once in a while.

Fly safe, happy hunting, and may your deathsplosion be brilliant and all encompassing.

I had the same WH pop in my high sec system three or four times in less than a month. I went to bookmark my entrance from Hsec and noticed that I already had bookmarks in the system from the probe map. The next week the same thing happened. Not a loop but it was odd to me that I kept finding the same hole.
