Dev blog: Some NPCs Just Want to Watch the World Burn

CCP Fozzie has written a new dev blog and is going to talk about some hot topic: Burner Missions!

Burner Missions are optional Level 4 missions first introduced in Hyperion based on a single, very challenging NPC frigate. Those new missions are met with a lot of enthusiasm and explosions.

If you have ever wondered what might be even better than Burner Missions, here is the answer: graphs and more Burner Missions!

So. I went to this thing in the desert in northern Nevada, and I return to find Burners in my spaceship game.

yawn more frigates... still not interested wasting time with these.

When cruiser burners come around maybe then...

But what i really are waiting for are BS size burners now that would be something (BS size vvessels dishing out over 1000dps with all the EW in game Let the real battle commence and fireworks alone would be sight to see) frigates look like peashooters after that)

(and still when you take into account how hard these things are i just cannot justify the risk/reward on frigate size burners)

That's a lot of graphs! Does that CONDI destruction include Sunday's Vile Rat Day? Hundred(s) of billions of ISK worth of stuff was blown up then.

real-pirates doesnt care "cheap gankers" help.. even they are just NPC in game..

Shoot a Serpentis Burner to lose standing to Serpentis.

Shoot an ex-Amarrian Burner to lose standing to...?
They are neither Amarr nor pirates.

ex-Matari Burner seems to be Thukker Tribe as far as the description of the Burner Jaguar on Sisi tells us.

Oh, and if you didn't want to have battleships slowboating or mjd'hopping into the burner pocket you shouldn't have lowered the 100MN MWD cap requirements Twisted
