Benson has alot to say yet he still wont answer the simplest question:-

Do you have a problem with people shooting each other in BF4, team fortress etc?

Thanks for opening up Jenn. I'll bet you feel a lot better now. In the future, if you start to lapse, can I recommend bacon therapy for your woes? Bacon has been proven in many studies to solve 100% of the world's problems. I'm quite positive it can solve yours too.

No joke here, every year I go to the State Fair just for the Fried Bacon. It perfectly compliments the Deep Fried Tea. Fried Cookies and milk are a great desert afterwards.

OP, don't argue from a game mechanics standpoint. Nothing will happen.

However, if you organize a platform based on hurt feelings and a sense of RL persecution then you would certainly see results.

I spent years in highsec flying around in pimped pirate faction battleships and hauling billions worth of stuff all over the universe.

Not once was I ever successfully ganked. You need to put a minimum amount of thought into playing a game that allows ganking anywhere, anytime. Obviously you didn't do that. This game isn't tailored for people like you. Thanks for playing and have a nice day.

Not today spaghetti.

No, I don't. The valuable commodities are mainly found in low and null sec anyways. Haulers and traders don't go there because that's not what we do. We stay in high (and sometimes low) sec, transporting goods to places where they will be bought.
You're delusional if you think it's only carebears that do this.

So take some precautions like the rest of us do, it's not hard to avoid being ganked.

Quote:
The price of goods will not go down, because we merchants are not stupid.
Your incredibly short-sighted topic suggests otherwise. I'm sure there's a multitude of industrialists, traders and haulers who don't want you speaking for them. I can think of several that have already said so, myself included.

Quote:
We won't lower the prices just because we don't have to replace our ships, and the people who pvp will still have their ships blown up, and will still need replacements, so the commodities will still have a high value.
Supply and demand, understand it before you post inane crap. Ganking is intrinsically linked to the market, it's done for profit as well as lols.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

1) "We" - Hi, I almost exclusively live in Hi-sec these days, I at times transport valuable goods (with my perfect freighter out-of-corp alt), I am one of the people who has a risk of loosing valuable goods to this ganking, but you don't speak for all of us, I disagree with your position

2) "We work to make it easy to obtain the things you want and need" - Logistics itself is a 'profession' in eve, why do you think it should be easy for people to obtain all the things people need? Null sec alliances succeed or fail based on their ability to maintain functional logistics. Other players make their entire career and profit from offering mission hubs with common supplies like ammunition and drones, everything has a risk and reward factor. You have stated your opinion, my opinion is that it is fine the way it is.

3) "being ganked all the time" - Checking your killboard I see 3 ganks, one of which was of any actual value (and as I previously stated, your own fault for transporting a billion isk worth of stuff in a paper-bag with a "Kill me" label strapped to it. One of the other kills was even in low sec, so yo ucan't complain about that.

I am yet to loose a industrial ship to gankers, maybe you're just doing it wrong :)

4) It's not about "not loosing your ships" it's about, if every single good made it safely to market, there would be more goods on the market, so there would be more competition, so the sale price of them would be more competitive and the price would go down.

I think the main problem here is that you're making silly mistakes and for all intensive purposes, are 'spitting your dummy out of the pram' due to feeling that recent loss was of no fault of your own and the fault of the game mechanics, in a loss that you could very, very easily have avoided.

If you would like to contact me in-game, I can help you and tell you several different ways where you can stop this happening ever again, without CCP having to change a thing.

So it looks like on his latest loss he lost about 1B ISK worth of stuff. That's more than 1 PLEX worth which is about $20. Isn't this a lot of RL assets to lose in one shot?

I have no doubt that Benton feels harassed.

We as a community should band together and speak out against EVE turning into a game where we disregard the feelings we create from instantly destroying $20 of somebody's stuff.

Hey now. The way the road-hog AI works in that game, it might as well have ganking in it. 😡
