So my friend just made a bran new account, didnt even create a character,

but made the account because he was going to buy a new char that he wanted on the newly plexed account, subscription paid, before log in he bought 26 plex, which to his knowledge he could log on, redeem and use to buy a char, but

once logging in he got this message....

User EVE-SSO-CONNECTION is banned pending investigation Last login: None Number of visits: 0 Reason: EVE Online, EULA Violation

Then hes gone back onto the website to see this: (DOES this mean that he hasnt been billed for it and it has been cancelled and no money has gone anywhere, thats alot of money to mess someone around with. can anyone clarify.

Yea but they dont reply for atleast a week, in previous experiance, just wondered if anyone can shed some light on it

Buying PLEX with a credit card, cancelling the payment, and then trying to hurry up and use/abuse the PLEX before CCP finds out.... is bad mmmkay.




Also, Support ticket > GD.

Didnt cancel the payment, he went onto the management and it said cancelled, but on emails it said the card has had the money taken off,

so there for hes not in the wrong CCP are in the wrong, you cant just take £400 away...

Yes your friend may lose the pilot he purchased (I hope the purchase was as per EULA). Since you appear to be excluding a lot of the details it would be impossible for anyone to comment on the situation.

dont see how,

1. he made the account
2. he subscribed the account to full
3. he ordered 26 plex
4. he tried to login so he could send the isk to buy a char
5. said hes banned for EULA reasons which wasnt breached, the account had never been logged on before until this point

so yeah pretty messed up..

He probably got banned in the Bonus Room Debacle. CCP are clever at detecting evading bans.

Because the Legacy Code has too much Psssssssssssssssh, nothing will ever get fixed until CCP stop wasting money on failed sparkle MMOs and instead rewrite the entire backend of EvE from scratch.

0 logins to account and huge amount of plex will most likely get flagged for "stolen card or RMT", raise a ticket.

Rather than posting here angrily about the situation, why don't you do the really obvious thing? Have your friend check with his bank whether the payment has been taken from his account.

If it says cancelled on the account management page here chances are the transaction did not clear. In which case you are ranting on his behalf because he missed out on buying a character due to what might be an anti-fraud measure designed to protect players from having their CC details stolen, then used to buy alts to RMT.

Petition it (reasonably), don't screech at the GMs = get answer.

petition, under account management and or bans. you should get a faster response for account issues. But that's it. No one here can help you, no gm will look at it via forums. if they do they will STILL tell you to submit a ticket. So.. submit a ticket

Has he checked with his bank/credit card company? large purchases like that can throw up a red flag, and theyll suspend payment until he gives them a clarification/confirmation on the purchase.
