Agreed, there are somethings that just should not be duplicated.

My take on the Geckos is like a few others. CCP used a limited(?) release of these as a way of testing the waters for future changes to drones, or perhaps an entire new class(grooup) of drones either in addition to, or as replacements for the drones we already have.
