It is your fault. It's your fault for having a crappy ISP as I explained as one of many possible issues in my first serious post. Traffic-shaping is a thing ISPs do. There's little-to-nothing CCP can do about it. But there is something YOU can do about it. Like we've been telling you for a few pages now.

yeeesss, im gonna change my ISP, which performs flawlessly with everything else in the world just cuz CCP cant code around a commonly used practice, thanks for the advice, i'll take it under advisement..

"Connection lost" might be well known, the underlying real error can be anything, so it is hardly well known.
"In no way my fault" implies that you know the fault, which apparently you don't. Hell, it might even be your network card being broken and having hiccups.

But yeah, blame CCP, write a petition, they will probably tell you "according to our logs, YOU disconnected from our servers, not the other way round, sorry."

Welcome back.

The 'socket closed' is a problem for some time now. Been traveling lately and had 3 different ISP, still happens. I had this on only one account and the other was fine.

According to these forum warriors I think I should try and change country. But these are the forums, people like to jump on others for no real reason. God forbid CCP did anything wrong.

No, it's not forum warrioring, we all get sockets closed. We don't all come crying to the forum about it.

It's a single shard game with a single server cluster. Trying to maintain concurrency on multiple server clusters in a single universe would be a massive technical challenge that other companies deal with by either running instanced games or being significantly larger than CCP.

It's going to happen, but it isn't necessarily CCPs fault. If you don't like the arrangement, there's a simple solution. Don't pay them and go play something else.

First - block the special forum people, it makes reading the forums so much easier. Don't worry, you won't miss anything of any significance but allow me to apologise for them because they just can't control themselves.

Second - CCP are going to RFP for hardware plus issued multiple updates about the state of the game so it isn't just you but I make no special claims to knowledge that the special forum people would simple demolish with their superior wisdom.

Third - block more special forum people, it really does help!

Fourth - I'd suggest giving CCP more money, they are going to need it for the new hardware and hopefully the old stuff will keep going until then.

Fifth - posting in General Discussion is not recommended. There are people who can do almost nothing else (look at the stats on Chribba's EVE Search site, there are plenty of examples) so not only is the signal to noise ratio in other forum subsections higher but you're more likely to get relevant discussion.

Sixth - Report as many special forum people as you like. Don't worry they'll do it to anyone else for any reason so give the ISD something written in a reasonable manner to read for a change.

I would strongly advise you to bother your ISP more, as from my experience it is their fault, I had those errors too, now they are gone after i had a lengthy talk with my ISP, fortunately they cared enough to make it gone for sure.

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

What would please me to no end would be the sure knowledge people are putting REAL money into their computers (not just buying the discounted discount one on sale two-fer one), and are actually paying for REAL internet service (not just Homer's Homemade Servers and Squirrel Farm - The ISP of the Stars!) THEN and ONLY then can I be assured that all this TROUBLE has something to do with EVE Online and CCP.

Eve is about community. It is great to see a returning vet getting straight back into the Eve community. The wide nature of the replies you have received, the laughs, the rage and the tears, these are what you have truly paid your sub for.

I hope you have moved on from your initial disappointment with an ingame issue to remembering why you are really here.
