Flying dreams best dreams for me. And you said you got your dreaming back after you were made redundant? Not sure what that means. Also is it possible that you just didn't remember your dreams for a while?

Dream of EvE? Not really. But I do remember coming out of a major surgery thinking I was in a fleet, flying a Drake (pre-whacked-by-the-nerf-bat). Then I woke up, turned to the nurse that was standing next to me, and told her to double the dose next time around. Them was some good drugs that knocked me right the hell out.

Flying dreams are the best, particularly if you are standing in your dream and make the effort to bounce. There's a moment of glee when you actually float which is awesome.

But yeah, thinking about it, I started EvE before I was made redundant at the end of 15 years of burnout. I assumed I was supressing dreams (or memory of) due to stress/bad sleep, but maybe it was lack of imagination/stimulus. Watched Inception a couple of years later (at home) and liked it but didn't really think much about it. The vivid dreaming returned afterwards, and I always tagged it to the film and/or getting restful sleep.

Maybe it was EvE, I dunno? There's no sound in my dreams, or dialogue, it's just like being underwater (without people screeching on comms lol).

Not a lot but several times like 3-4 times , but no wonder spent in game total 512 days online since end of 2006, this is one and half year online... with average 4h per day, anyway i fell healthy, this would be bad if i got dream about EvE every day.


BTW people who do not dream should visit specialist, its natural brain process to dream about something especially if you spend a lot of time on the things.

If it bleed we can kill it.

I once had a dream where player pirates were camping Yulai in the Minmatar Titan, Leviathon, and I was the hero white knight in an Eidolon rocking the Tech 5.

My ***** ex woke me from that dream and left me because of this Eve girl I was apparently cheating on her with.

Well, since you all are speaking openly about this, I will jump on the bandwagon: Yes, I do! And it's always the same dream, always... I'm on a pod, warping to the light, it's a comfy pod that encases my body with warm and hope... I'm not sure of that dream means but after researching some, according to Freud, I may have some suicidal tendencies...

The question is: May I join CODE?

I've occasionally had a dream involving flying ships I don't have the budget for, or flying them in ways I wouldn't do in in real EVE, or even just being the ship itself. All things I want to do that I avoid for practical reasons.

After reading this thread again and thinking of dreams as 'wish fulfilment', I just realised something.

Maybe the reason why I'm obsessed with Megathron hull pvp, as described in my dream about Kronos, Vindi, and my in-game solo attempts/fails using Mega based hulls, is all because of...

Makes a lot of sense to me. Usually "messages" from dreams aren't as clearcut,
but if you have a strong emotional connection a d desire towards something,
especially when your thoughts orbit around it before you fall asleep, (do they?)
it does happen to manifest itself that way.

The emotional content, if you feel strongly feel it, gets dragged into the dreaming phase then.

Have you tried lucid dreaming to roflstomp over people in your beloved megathron hull? ;)

I dreamed last night about Eve.

It was 71 jumps from the mall to Jita on the safe route, but only 3 jumps via lowsec. Since I was in a pod with no implants of value to me, I decided to cut through lowsec.

Naturally, there was a gate camp on the other side of the first gate, but my pod warped too quickly for them to catch me. It was in the second system, when I warped to the next gate, that things got weird. Half way through the warp I was suddenly out of warp and inside this bizarre space anomaly that looked like it was made of hundreds of star filled ribbons.

Overall, it worked just like a bubble. Had to burn out of it in order to be able to warp to the next gate. Unlike a bubble, it was a static part of the star system, not a player produced trap.

After jumping into the next system, I was headed to the final gate to the Jita system, when a game bug popped up, preventing me from jumping. Eve servers didn't recognize the gate was there, even though my Eve client did. A guy in a BS was about to pod me when he started having issues himself, and everyone agreed it was time to file support tickets.

A weird dream, but I kinda like the idea of anomalies in a system that act like bubbles.

I started a dream journal once. I only wrote down one dream and it had nothing to do with EVE and was just a string of words. There was definitely a coherent story though, maybe you all can help me figure out what it was.

I dreamt that I was playing drunk and could not stay awake (dreaming of sleeping - very tired) and I kept falling asleep in lowsec and I was worried that Lady Spank and Zedrik Cayne were going to blow up my frigate.

There was no thorax involved so nothing to worry about.
