Constant Client Freeze-ups Post Hyperion Patch

Greetings. I have been playing EVE on my iMac for the better part of 2 years now and have always experienced client freezing to an extent, however the sheer number of times my client has been freezing lately is quite frankly unacceptable. On the contrary I never have issues on my PC.

Im sure we are all aware of the potential implications of a client randomly freezing, and as a result I have been forced to stay put for most of my fleet ops because I do not want to risk losing anything because of a client crash.

Is anyone else getting this? If so has anyone found a way to fix this? I already tried a fresh install but no luck. There doesn't seem to be a memory leak, I keep track of my memory usage on the fly.

Thanks,
Cain

Same thing here, I was away when the patch happened.

Did the update when I got back and since then it would just freeze randomly, after about 10minutes in game or less for no apparent reason.

Never had much problems before.

Are these permanent freezes, or freezes that last several seconds?

I have had a couple of the short freezes, but only when running 3 clients at once on my MBP.

Same.

Pre-Hyperion, I logged maybe 100 hours since my 7 year hiatus. I had exactly 2 crashes, both in Station accessing the Market.

Post-Hyperion, and getting worse with each subsequent patch, I've had MULTIPLE freezes/crashes requiring a manual Force Quit from within the Client itself-- all after jumping gates and coming out of the "tunnel effect," as the grid loads.

After DT today (and the fix for Eve Voice), I suffered 3 crashes within 20 minutes.

Always. Jumping. Gates.

My stats are EXACTLY that of Seth, mid-2012 and all-- but it's a Retina.

Just over the last couple of nights I've had four: once immediately before jumping a gate, once immediately after, once right before docking at a station, and once in hangar view in a station.

At least on my machine, the client appears not to like session changes, getting backgrounded for more than a couple of seconds, or being run for more than an hour or two.

I run EVE in windowed mode; since I can't really run multiple clients effectively, i've bumped most of the settings up to high, except for character model textures.

I've had this problem for the past few days on both Mac and Windows—the difference is that on the Mac I can ctrl-alt-esc to exit the EVE client and relaunch, while on Win7 EVE completely prangs the computer.

Warping does seem like an issue, and the client seems to freeze whenever I mine out a gas cloud.

anyone fix this issue yet? It happens to me when I shift my mac to another desktop window, and when I tab back to Eve theres like a 50/50 chance that its frozen and I have to restart the client
