High-sec exploration: Retribution

I was looking into High-sec exploration and it looks like a fun way to kill some time a make some ISK for a new pilot like me with only a few months of experience. I'm mainly Amarr, and since I like frigates alot and have been flying them as my main ship type I wanted to try a Retribution. Now I'm looking into running High-sec exploration combat sites and want to know what the limits are of what I can do or improve. I don't know which faction space is best to run, but since serpentis is closed to my home system it will probally be that. This is the fit I currently run:

Small focused pulse laser II
Small focused pulse laser II
Small focused pulse laser II
Small focused pulse laser II
Core Probe Launcher I

Cap Recharger II
1MN Afterburner II

Small Armor Repairer II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II

Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I

Now I know this isn't optimal, and with my skills it only put's out 200DPS (Conflag) and 150DPS (Scorch), but is it a good ship to start out with and have a little fun? I know 4/10 DED's are a no-go in this fit, but what is possible with this fit? I'm open for suggestions and I'm thinking about training for caldari specifically to get some good high-sec exploration fits, but I want to know if the Amarr AF have a chance to be in the spotlight before I do that.

Cheers,
Montoo

I used something similar and it worked well in blood/sansha space. Maybe remove the adaptive plating for thermal but to be honest you don't really need it. Don't carry conflag because you won't need it. You will be ok with scorch and multi.

Blood 3/10. 4 pockets full of frigates, crucifiers with lots of TD but it won't affect you much. Kill the overseer in the 4th pocket, take the loot (hopefully a cruor bpc, a deadspace module or something like that) and ignore the rest.

Sansha 3/10. 2 pockets full of destroyers. The "boss" of the first pocket drops the gate key. It is easy but keep your distance. Those dessies can hurt your retri. If you need to warp out, save first something like an accel gate because the site despawns from your scanner.

Don't try the 4/10s solo with that frigate. Sansha site has many cruisers and the 2nd pocket hurts. Blood site has many webbing towers and the cathedral is like 50 km away from you, guarded with lots of sentries and many neut cruisers.

Run anomalies too and try to get escalations but if you get one (4/10s) bring something tankier and with more range.

Anyway, your biggest problem will be the swarm of explorers that there are in high sec. Give a try to low sec if you are not having luck.

Thanks for answering so quickly! Yeah, I already heard that competition will be the biggest difficulty in high-sec exploration, so I might give low-sec a go if I have a good feeling for the sites and how to complete them fast.

Anyway, so you recommend me to just the Bloodraider and Sansha sites? Or do you have most experience with them? because otherwise I'll probally stick to serpentis for now since the closest Bloodraider and Sancha space is quite a few jumps away. Smile (I'm situated in Placid)

I recommended you those sites because your damage (em/thermal) would be the best against blood/sansha but don't worry because all 3/10s are very easy in any assault frigate (i can fly all). I've done angel 3/10s in a cruor, so you can imagine.

Serpentis 3/10 is very similar to the blood 3/10. That means you have to clear all pockets (you can ignore the sentries) except the last, where you only have to kill the overseer, take the stuff and warp out. It drops frigate sized deadspace modules and/or daredevil bpc. Or nothing at all, you know.

My retribution, as i said, it is very similar but i fit rigs for optimal and damage. It is the standard kiting retribution. <3 scorch
