I do not appreciate ignorants, who judge me without knowing me.
I was a marine, and majority of our squad were men.

Besides that, minmatar, your gender prejudices are primitive and terrible. There is no difference whom to serve with, with men or women, and performance of the soldier depends on their training, and not on their genders. We in the State live in modern society unlike you minmatars with your archaic prejudices about genders.

I'm not sure how to respond to this. On one hand, the statement here is not correct according to my previous conversations with Diana.

On the other more semantic hand, she certainly did not express great joy in the recollection of the event.

What the devil do you mean with 'gender prejudices'? We do not discriminate by gender, we discriminate by contribution and, sad to say, Voluval mark. In our tribal society, everyone is expected to pull their weight, man or woman, and they are afforded respect accordingly.

About joy being with a man.
She sounds like she was serving all the time with women only, and saw men like in a zoo, so was having joy from it.
For Caldari, both women and men are same people. And we serve together, there are a lot of men and women everywhere, in all professions, including the Navy.
The only distinction you get, is in corporate marriage system, when each man is paired with a woman according to their bloodline, physical and social characteristics, for obvious purpose.

I don't know, Ms. Vess.
I never saw a live minmatar before I became a capsuleer, and my opinions on minmatars rise from what minmatars themselves say.
Since Ms. Mizhir was telling about joy being with a man, I could suggest only overreaction from appearance of a man, and thus that she grew in a society where men and women were separated.

Then the problem is you. Corporations offer what should be ideal choices of marriage partners. You are still single. You do not even know a man intimately.

And from what I heard from you in the Neocom communication channels, you have no intention of changing your current state of events. There is no discrimination, the conceptt of physical and emotional closeness with any hypothetical partners is alien to you.

Whether or not you want to believe it, aside from our upbringing everyone has the same core desires in life. Its human nature not to want to be alone. Don't let some misunderstanding about culture get in the way of the truth that we all want the same things out of life. You may have never met a minmatar but you sure have met caldari, and while you may not believe it those people share the same desires to an extent as you or me or anyone else you have met.

I know of many Matari clans who practice arranged marriage. It forms bonds and allegiances between clans, sometimes to secure peace, sometimes as a mere bargaining chip as part of a wider deal.

My father had a suitor lined up for me shortly after my Voluval... then there was that terrible accident, so close to the wedding day.
A smart woman will always make sure she gets the final say in such things.

When I said being wth a man I actually meant sleeping with them and getting your bodily desires satisfied. You don't teach people about that in the States?

I have a marine background like you and likewise the majority were male. So if they had cloaking technology they certainly wouldn't have missed the chance to spy on me or the other females. I don't blame them. And the lucky ones got to sneak off with me, or one of the other girls, during the night.

And you consider minmatars primitive because you think they have gender prejudices. Thats quite ironic coming from someone who has heavy prejuces against other races.

I would like to make the point that Diana Kim's view on men & sexuality is far from the common view in the State. It might be among Provists, but we kicked those out for a good reason!
So please keep that in mind when discussing it, you are arguing about an extremist viewpoint, not a view that's commonly held in the State.

I would like to make a point, that Jandice Ymladris were often spotted with gallenteans and represent ideals far different from ones of Caldari State.
Or maybe Ms. Ymladris will tell us about HER experience with corporate marriage system?

No, the real problem is in minmatar ignorants, who judge others without trying to understand.
Do you know exact age, when Caldari must check in to marriage system? Do you know exact age, when I died and became capsuleer? Do you know about my DNA compatibility? Do you know about criteria how marriage partners are assigned?

And no, I am not going to answer these question. It is rather entertaining how minmatars show their ignorance, it makes us way easier to fight these primitives and feel no pity towards them.

Peoples in barracks sleep together, not like capsuleers in their single cells.
Satisfying bodily desires, though, would be a hedonism.
And spying on your squad members? What daftness is this?...
I would understand that during a competition or war game training with other squad, when you might spy on each others to win the competition.
Of course, you compete with your squad members as well, proper cadet must show both competitive and teamwork abilities. However, for competitions inside the squad there was really nothing to spy at.

I totally agree with you.
Our capsuleer lives make us individualistic, to live in closed shells of our capsules and inside our solitary cells - quarters. This is like a torture, slowly turning us into gallentean-like individialistic creatures. After all, we are not just battleships parts, we are still humans, we have human flesh and blood, human thoughts and memories. And for humans individialism is alien concept, we try to live in society.
I have been in this already six years. Rather long term, but I still cling to Caldari ideals and won't surrender to this artificial confinement, that tries to turn us into subhuman individualists. I often imagine that I am still in barracks, and there are peoples around. That there are other peoples, maybe other capsuleers are sleeping behind these cold metal walls. To maintain sanity in these harsh conditions, I deny everything that could make us like gallenteans... even if we are forced to live alone, we still can avoid hedonism, freedom, indecency.
Maybe sometimes I overdo it, but on other hand, it would guarantee I would never fall to gallentean subhuman level, and will remain human, even in such conditions.
