Any difference between 1400 'Scout' Artillery I and Republic Fleet 140mm Howitzer Artillery?

Hello, I've been checking for the differences, but there isn't any but the rate of fire, that's a small difference for the price that's between them, anything else I haven't noticed? I'd want to do more damage with my Machariel but I don't know how.

Thanks,

It takes less heat damage which means that you can overheat them longer but for missions I doubt that is what you are looking for.

Faction Weapons are woefully under qualified for there price in most cases... =/

Selfdestruct it and do all the damage in one go.

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

If you can't even use t2 guns yet then there's a WHOLE bunch of skills your missing that would not only add to plain old DPS but also help you APPLY that dps.

If you'd like to do more damage you'll have to train up for the T2 variant with the spec skill. While the T2 1400MM Artillery has identical stats to the 'scout' variant it is the specialization skill that will grant you 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10% more ROF to the T2 Turret. Hope this helps.

ROF increases your dps... it may not look a lot, but you are more likely to win if you have more than the other guy.

Otherwise look at T2 1400's, use T2 ammo and gyrostabilisers, named ones if you can afford them.

Oh, and take a look at 800mm T2 autocannons with barrage ammo... they don't quite have the range, but are far more flexible. Blink

Don't forget you can also fit large projectile rigs to boost your dps.
