Anything about balancing the POS defenses which are years behind any other ship balancing ?

I understand the need for tweaking already existing balance passes, but there are ships out there that haven't been touch. Recons really need a pass and with the time between releases, it should be plenty of time to re-balance one class of ships while tweaking another.

idk why i even typed this, its not like CCP will answer it.

Not now, but there are plans to re-do the whole POS mechanic in some of the next releases. I'd give them time to really think the changes through before publishing anything.

Corp management and POSes are high on my wanted list as well Smile

Even harder burner missions sounds fun. Now can we have agents added that only do burner missions?

The cloak effect is nice, but I have two issues with that.

Knowing it's a work in progress, I don't doubt it can be improved. Alas, I fear it can be made even worse.

1) The "propagation" effect is a bit slow. It may give more than a quick hint when one decloaks from a gate cloaking and recloaks. Maybe it's intended, and if so, state it clearly. It may become an interesting new feature, UNLESS it's force-fed on us without any warning.

2) If the cloaked ship stays with that hexagonal, translucent, wavy reflective pattern, I think it may create a new player ability: spotting cloaked ships by its hexcloak. The actual effect is VERY difficult to spot. The new one, not so much.

Thank you for your continued effort and support for the game we love.

Hmm... unless they've changed it (and I'm pretty sure they didn't) when you are fully cloaked only you see the outlines of your cloaked ship. Everyone else don't see even the outlines.

Go on sisi and see for yourself. just like it is today other players ships disapear completly from overview and space when animation is finished. The local player can see a outline of his ship, but no one else can.

Will the visual effects on wormholes that indicate size of ship that can pass through be overlaid on top of the existing visual effect that shows what class of space is on the other side?

Answer this man please.
Capturing a WH leading vom K to C1, this was the case. The new effect just got added.

That's good to know, thanks for the link! I'll let to wormhole sub forum know before they take to the streets again Blink

Re: Cloak Effect

Hexagons™. Because the Future has six sides.

Seriously, this crap is everywhere. Is there a modern sci-fi artist that doesn't plaster hexagons on everything? Do they all have a Battletech fetish? Maybe it's some future version of the Time Cube, only, you know, not nonsense because it's the future?

Nice release. Some beautiful things, some practical things.

Here to try and put out a suggestion that if you guys make models for all the high slot equipment at some point, the cloaking effect could propagate from the spot on the ship the module is on visually.

On the other hand I really hope that major ship balancing will stop in the near future with just small tweaks introduced every now and then.

I am going to have to disagree with you here. Some classes need a major rework that small changes just can't achieve.

When are we going to get the rorqual changes that have been promised for 6 month now? Still nothing on T3's and Recons as well but modules are more important? Really?

Well at least there is finally some movement to improve nullsec I look forward to these changes whatever they will be.

Not sure if I like the availability of French as a language for the client.

Even though I'm French myself, I like the accuracy and non-ambiguity of English technical terms.
French is arguably a better suited language than English for, say, litterature. But it's indeniably much worse for technical stuff. And it usually causes problems in video games. (Wanna know what a skill or item actually does? check the English description).

Also most French can be quite chauvinistic and are not comfortable with their English (mostly because of protectionism from the government, e.g movies are dubbed, there are imposed ratios for French songs on the radio so it's not all UK/US stuff, etc..) so I'll keep it in English.

Anyway, kinda like how Russian is present everywhere in Eve today, you're gonna start seeing more and more people speaking French in local chat and other public channels, and they'll probably tell you to fo f*** yourself if you ask them to speak English.

After Oceanus, I'm also afraid I'll hear stuff like "Perturbateurs d'Hyper-Espace" on comms, when it's always been "Warp Disruptor" or even just "point". This is going to be confusing. Roll

And HUGE, DEV timesink to keep an MP3 player up to date, with all the different codec updates.

You want different music, then run your own player in the background. There, problem solved. You have your own jukebox that CCP doesn't have to keep up to date, or backwards compatable with your operating system, or a host of other tiny little things that keep people from gong, "GRR CCP your jukebox no work, I is angry GRR! Demand update to jukbox NAOW!!!!1!!1!!"

Would you prefer a Moorish tiling pattern?

Seriously, something like the Raf Raf pattern speckling the hull with stars and filling in with the curved sections would be cool.
