Pirate tags - Trading for sec status

Read an old (2013) blog about adding pirate tags that could be traded for security status. I did a few searches and can't find any relevant information regarding this, and I'm wondering if this was actually implemented or not. I want to play eve, but I'm not going to battle my sec status back up again, just way too much of a grind.

You must not have looked very hard.

It can be expensive. I went from -7 to 0 when I tried it. The tags were around 200 mil all together and the concord fee was 75 mil or so.

The biggest part is searching for a Security Office. Hint: its a station service

That's the same information I already read .... from 2013. Genius.

Thanks Milan, your explanation about cost is what I needed.

Cost calculator was the second result of the google search, there are four articles besides the devblog on the first page of the search relevant to your question, Genius.

The number she gave you for the tags was not accurate and everything else Milan said was in the devblog, Genius.

Confirming N'rok is a genius.

Joking aside though, it's really not hard to find.

It was implemented, it's easy to do, but it isn't cheap.

Looked in my wallet.... tag total 234 million. Concord fee was 75 million. That was June 20 2014

What is not accurate... I didnt buy the overpriced tags at the same station as the security office.

Well I guess that depends on your definition of accurate. For one thing your revised numbers are 15% different than your original ones.

But mea culpa, I misread Steve's website (pesky work getting in the wayBlink), didn't realize the calculation was including the concord fees. Interestingly enough the numbers you originally posted were more accurate to the current market then the updated ones.

I know, I know...

/points at self and sarcastically says...Genius Lol

Just buy one of the tags, there's a clicky button when you show info on it to "show security offices".

A lot of those security offices in decently populated areas have a supply of tags on the market already if you don't care about paying more than waiting for buy orders to fill.
It's fairly cheap to go from -10.0 to -4.9, but if you want to go higher (you can go to 0.5) then that's where the costs start to increase.
