A fix to fleet warp

Fleet warp is a great idea, but the problems it causes logistic, electronic warfare, cloaked, and other support ships makes its uses very limited. A simple solution to this, however, would to just add a box to opt in or out of the fleet warp option. Check it if you want the fleet commander to allow him to iniciate a warp on your behalf and uncheck it if you do not. This way players can enjoy the benifits of fleet warp without hindering others who dod nto need it.

ctrl + space if you don't want to warp with the fleet...

or set up separate squads ...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

This works, however, if you are using an active module, the fleet warp command shuts off that module. So your cloak will drop, your webs and scrams will end, and and hictor bubbles will shut down at the end of their cycle. Players that had to go AFK and warped to a POS in systemw ill be warped out of the POS.

Giving each player the option to accept fleet warps or not is an improvement to the UI, no matter how you look at it.

Pretty standard procedure for all AFK ships to drop fleet to prevent just this from being an issue.

That said, an opt out would be a valuable fleet option for specialist ships to use, command ships, ECM boats etc. Lots of pros and cons to weigh up however.

This idea needs more debate really
