I've seen statements here in the forums proclaiming Brave Newbies as a very helpful corp for new players and I've seen a new player in Brave Newbies asking for help here in the forums. Obviously those observations conflict with each other and as such I made a skeptical comment based on those observations. I don't need any proof since I haven't made any claims of it being true or false, one way or the other.

The only people here making assumptions are you and Jenn aSide. You people are not mind readers so stop saying you know the intention of my comment. In fact both of you passed over a key word in the statement and misinterpreted the context of my original comment :

'You've been in Brave Newbies Inc. for over a month now. Seems all the hype about that corp helping new players is nothing more than a crock of crapola.'

Love how you guys constantly twist statements out of context in an attempt to prove yourself right. I said the corp should check up on it's new members, especially if the new member is a new player to this game. Nowhere did I say the corp should check up on and help all of it's members.

As for making assumptions, you're doing it again by inferring that all 7k+ members would be online and in game at the same time.

Seriously, the only here making foolish comments is you. Please stop.

Again you attempt to demean my reputation, especially after I posted an example that negates your assumption. Since you've only been in the forums for a year, you have no clue how I post so you can't really make a comparison and more importantly, are not qualified to pass judgement.. Now if you have an alt that was around longer than 1 year ago and can show proof, then post your statements with that character.

Anyway, this thread is now officially derailed and will probably be locked soon. I hope you're happy now. I will admit one thing, I definitely forgot to follow the Golden Rule of forum posting - Don't Feed The Trolls.

I can't speak for whether the OP had seen much handholding from the Braves but I can attest with absolute certainty that he had not been without help.

He had spent weeks in our home system ratting and mining. During all that time he was not only allowed but encouraged to join our standing fleet , had access to our station, intel, and general camaraderie we offer our allies who come to hang out with us.

I know for a fact he was given advise, answers to all and any questions he had, suggested fits, etc because I was present during many of those discussions and participated in them myself. His barge/transport was scouted/escorted any time he asked for it. When he told us he got his ratting ship killed one of my corpmates gave him a free Vexor Navy Issue; I believe over time he recieved other free ships as well. What's more, he must have been well aware he could have asked to join any of us while ratting and would not have been refused.

For the record, exploration - specifically relic sites - is extremely good here (Sansha territory). I know because it's my main source of income, and being pretty lazy (which amounts to me doing 4-5 sites a day at most) I still pull a very substantial sum, more than enough to cover my PvP expenses and then some. To my knowledge the OP does not PvP so I am not sure why he's having so much trouble making ends meet.

All in all, if he hasn't figured it out by now, he's either incapable of doing so or completely unwilling. Whichever it is, the problem is between his monitor and his char, and most definitely not with the Braves.
