I'm looking for a 3rd party tool (preferably a web service) that will allow me to achieve the following:

  • Define a list of roles for an operation
  • Assign each role a weighting (or importance factor)
  • Allow corp members to "clock in/out" for a given role.
  • Calculate payouts for participating members based on ratio of participation with other members combined with the weighting of the role(s) they performed.
  • Be usable in the IGB (optional).
  • Be free.

Suggestions are very much appreciated. I've come across a few things that would work, but I could do better. If all else fails I'll just code a GoogleSheets workbook.

Edit: Scratch that. Google Sheets crashes the IGB. -_-

Oh my goodness! You don't expect much, do you?
I want a pony for Christmas!

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

That can be arranged. :)

And no, I don't feel it's much too much to ask considering a simple search resulted in a plethora of tools that can achieve these things. My issue is that they were all overkill. Simplicity is king when you are trying to get people to buy into a concept. Something designed w/ EVE in mind would be awesome, but that likely doesn't exist so it's not on the list. What this boils down to is a light-weight project and time management tool. Those definitely exist. In fact there is a fierce market for such tools with many vying for the attention of potential customers. I'm just trying to solicit the opinions of the EVE community as to one that can be easily re-purposed for EVE without too much of a headache.

There's not really a market or customers for a tool that you want to be free.

Bitrix24
Trello
Asana
GanntProject
Producteev

Two of those I've utilized in the past for non-EVE related projects. They are all "free". Free doesn't mean no strings attached. Most if not all of them have additional premium features, but the basic functionality is sufficient for some people or projects. There is indeed a market for these tools. It's rare to see a lot of competition for something people don't want, and there are a lot more than just those five.

My point was you want a tool with a certain set of features for free. Nobody will be paying for it, so there's no customers. If you want someone to make a site like this I suggest hiring a web developer with isk in the Sell Orders forum.

Or just use one of the many sites that apparently already exist as you pointed out.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not requesting someone to develop a tool for me. I had hoped one of my earlier posts made that clear, but apparently not so I apologize for that. I'm attempting to solicit opinions on an existing tool I can re-purpose. I know a few, but don't particularly like any of them for this purpose. Ideally it would meet as many of the features on that list as possible. :)
