Energy Grid Upgrades as a mining support skill?

Lots of sites list the Energy Upgrades skill as an important support skill for flying mining barges & exhumers. For example, HERE, HERE, and HERE. Even the in-game certificates for the Hulk at least includes it for mastery. But why??? How would this skill help me?

I have a focused miner that flies exhumers with T2 crystals, everything all perfectly maxed out. I'm almost looking for more support skills since all my core is done and I'm maxed for the important stuff. But not only do I never have an issue with my CPU needs for my fits, but I'm not even fitting things that "require" the Energy Grids Upgrades skill. I just don't understand what people are fitting that need this, to the point that it's mentioned across many fora and even the Hulk mastery tree.

Just because you don't put capacitor flux coils or power diagnostic systems on your barge doesn't mean that nobody else does either.
