Has anyone found out anything about the secret it's supposed to hold ? Haven't read anything about it in a long while.

Is there any indication that it contains a secret? If there is I have missed it entirely.

Well I seem to remember reading or hearing somewhere that the limited edition would contain something special which would be a clue to something EVE-related. Of course I don't remember where or when I heard about that. And I don't see what's the point of that mysterious plaque anyway, if it doesn't contain any hidden messages.

iirc the plaque was meant to be either the stellar location of somewhere in the galaxy where the New Eden gate is meant to be located OR as a map back to Earth using Pulsars not in our own galaxy.

It is a version of the original Pioneer plaque using different pulsars (still visible from Earth in the current era). Essentially it is a nice sci-fi-ish curio, but has no link to EVE itself beyond being included in the collector's Source package. The location shown is the Sol system, relative to Pulsars (the lines extending out on all but the horizontal axis) and their wavelengths (the notches allow calculation of this). The horizontal line is a yard stick representing the relative distance of Sol from the galactic core, a useless measurement for an outsider with no local reference to the Milky Way.

Should official lore reflect that said Pulsars are visible from New Eden, then that might be of interest. In all honesty though, we do not know if the wormhole took us beyond the visible Universe altogether or just stuck us on the other side of some occluding material (big galaxies nearby etc). As a result we may never know if there is an incredibly hand wavy link between this rather nice plaque and the game world.

I believe Greyscale at one point said during some EVE thing in Russia that every w-space system corresponds to a real-world pulsar, at least in name.

Not sure if there's any deeper connection than the names, though. I suspect the time for that kind of story has long since passed.
