Some dude claims to have calculated the total blows, and has a link to the 3k+ pilots. Would be good to have this independently confirmed, ofc.

Yeah, saw that .tab data file but it doesn't have summaries. I like how the pastebin is all already summed up for us.

And no, not downloading the windows app from 'not a trusted' (as opposed to untrusted) source - I hope you understand.

Fine, I've added something to the other. But if you're going to go trusting some random dudes 'summary' instead of being able to see all 32+ thousand lines of damage. Don't take my word for it.

Added Carribean Queen's info to my revenant article, along with the shortened summary provided by NullSecHobo. I will keep following the developments, in case there's errors that need correction.

The report I did on it: Revenant Supercarrier destroyed as promotional stunt by Eve-Bet, now with Revenant kill list info! Happy reading!

Then quit with the conjecture and tinfoil hattery. You're stretching to vilify CCP for something that was no human being's fault, and accusing them of "devhaxoring" to show favor..... yet, curiously, you're one of the first to snap on people when someone suggests that Goons are in bed with the entire devteam.

This was a server flub, not an intentional act.
That guy's list shows I only did 4k damage, but the notifications on my screen added up to WAY more than that. So obviously the server lost more than just a killmail.

TiDi at less than 10% plus that many people on the killmail means server goes welp!

Also, the logs show lots... Just not anything about that killmail.

why was that posted to reddit and not the eve forums? i really can't understand why they wouldn't post here where its so easy for all the customers of ccp to find.

do the log not show damage and who did the last damage?

Wait, what specifically are you referring to? I'm not vilifying CCP at all.
The reason I assumed that CCP moved the ship (into station in an incursion system) is because that's exactly what they did for Marlona Sky's Flight of a Thousand Rifters III. I figured the organizer of this event would want a similar environment.

Except that I was accusing them of doing something they've done before. And it's not to suggest that they can't or shouldn't be allowed to run events, but rather that (as far as CCP is concerned) they really shouldn't use tricks to set up a more arena-style scenario. Since they didn't, that point is moot.

Okay? I know why the killmail wasn't generated. The killmail had nothing to do with my point. My main point was simply that events like this are dumb because of how they're essentially fake, content and a rare ship kill handed to you on a silver platter without any effort involved.

God, some of you are so sour about all this.

As far as I can see, the fun is just continuing with the speculation of who actually won from all the KM and battle log reconstructions. It's kinda like the Florida chad situation, for you yanks, and particularly appropriate for a game that celebrates a certain level of morbidity as Eve does.

I suggest CCP handing out T-Shirts to everyone who was in the system at the time.

It should read: "I tried to whore on the Revenant kill mail and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" or something alike.

That would be lush.

I think we're starting to arrive at a common ground, here.

Let me say this, though.... the event happened in lowsec, off-station. No sentry guns, no CONCORD. It was a 4800-person free-for-all, pretty much. You come in, and you're liable to get blapped by just about anyone on grid. And unlike in Marlona's event, the Revenant was shooting back.

If this were truly the kind of situation you want to see it as, the Rev would have been devhacked into highsec and flagged itself suspect, so that all you could do is shoot the Rev without getting insta-CONCORDoken'd.
Or perhaps system lockdown after the first 1500 people got in.

None of those things happened. There was risk involved, and lots of it. Not just from other people, but from the target, itself.

Oh what irony this coming from an alliance that runs from ships that can shoot back , I hear you kids left the alliance tournament in a hissy fit when you learnt that the opposition was allowed to fire back ?
