So how do you go about getting into a null space corp? I'm sure you don't just fly out there and say something like "Hi guys don't shoot wanna join up with you." lol

That might work, most of the friends I have made came from talking to them after a fight.

Here is some info that should help.

We have a policy of shooting people in the face to see how well they take it, if well we try to recruit them , if not we try again. Of course we don't tell them this till afterwards.

To settle in null as an Alliance (corps can't claim space, alliances can - but nothing stops you from being a 1 corp alliance)..

Simple:

A. Firepower
B. Connections.

A combination of A & B, ratio can be different though (the more you have of one, the less you need of the other), but you will need both.

Be the guy that has a friend that knows somebody in [insert nullsec alliance].

Go to their space and blow them up untill they let you join (would work with us, though we are lowsec based).

Check the recruitment forums and get in touch with the people actively posting.

You apply through the forums, or by contacting a recruiter. See their corp or alliance info for a start.

For example:
* (Corp) Brave Newbies Inc.: "For general questions and enrollment, please join the 'Brave Newbies' chat channel. "
* (Alliance) BRAVE Collective: "If you are a player looking to join please join the in-game channel Brave Newbies. We can answer any questions you may have."
* (Wiki) How to Join Brave.

Note that I am in no way affiliated with BRAVE, I just really like what they are doing, and there are a lot of other corps / alliances out there to consider. Look around! Chat with people!

That's pretty much it.

When I became a low sec pirate, I took some frigs to Molden Heath and fought some folks- stuck around after getting my pod to a safe and chatted with my killers. Very quickly I was told to drop an application and was accepted. That was all there was to it, I went from victim to member.

When I wanted to move to sov null and fly bigger ships in bigger fleets, I read a couple hundred corp recruiting threads, found one that sounded like I'd fit in and was based in a part of space I thought would be cool. Before applying I got on comms with them and chatted. With both sides thinking we'd be a good match, I dropped an application. All there was to that as well.

Joining a null corp is as joining any other corp.... You read how they recruit, you follow their procedures and you are accepted or rejected.

It is that simple, how each corp recruits is different, some are quite strict, some are loose and some require you to be part of an oog community.

Yup. I would add that some are very new-pilot oriented, some will want only very experienced pilots.

Hope you find a bunch you enjoy flying with!

Null Alliances like Goons and Brave are very new player friendly.

Hit them up THROUGH THEIR FORUMS

There are corps in NPC null that have nothing to do with the big blocs.
