wut? Don't remember mentioning weather OR climate.....

Did buy 2 PLEX tho.... That Nestor turned out to be good for something after all....

You Miners think you have it so damn tough.  When I first started playing we didnt even have mining lasers.  You had to fly close to an asteroid.....pop a hatch and gnaw at it with your teeth.   - Bitter Vet

It will be interesting to see if Eve can manage to get 50K online simultaneously back to back Sundays in the coming weeks.
Frankly, I don't think there is a prayer of it happening, given the high sec exodus post-Crius, and the boredom in null sec.

But I have to give all those fan-bois and propagandists as much rope as they want.

It's an analogy.

Daily population is to weather as overall user count is to climate.

The point made with the analogy is that today's high count has very little to do with more long-term server trends.

The PCU started diving post - Crius, and the financials released ended in June.
We will have to wait until February to see the subscription number trends, but sure looks ugly from my vantage point.

Started launcher, saw 23110 pilots online, closed launcher... Why bother logging into dead hoarse...

Edit: I was going to fix a typo there but after a second I found it hilarious and worth keeping untouched.

You mean those people who pay for a video game and as a result are able to post on these forums....like YOU lol.

Why you continue to pay (plex, whatever) for a game you hate populated by people you despise and made by a company you don't trust is beyond me. In any event, that's for keeping EVE Online alive with your money.

I remember logging on to 4k people with 8k seeming stupidly high on a sunday.. Eve is along way from dead, just a little stunted growth at the moment.

I think the "Eve is dying" threads are fueled by people who have an emotional attachment to their pixel assets. They're so scared of the server shutdown and it all goes black...

Eve is a game so just play it. It's been dying since 2003. People are dying from the day they're born. Everything must end.

To the "Eve is dying" I don't see it ending in the near future.

People do it all the time in real life. I can't be the only guy who has ever been married to a woman who was so wrapped up in fear about the relationship ending that they ended up making the relationship end lol.

And i've been on jobs where people fretted so much about getting layed off because the economy was bad. Usually they didn't. Then the economy improved, and THEN they lost their job to a restructuring because some brilliant VP figured out a way to save 15 cents per year even though the company was making record profits (I'm as capitalist as it comes but TBH I don't miss working in the private sector lol).

Hell, I even knew a guy (when to college with him) who was so scared of dying and/or getting old that he turned into a serious health nut.....and died of heat stroke preparing for a marathon last year at the age of 41.

Fear and Anxiety are stupid. i just scream YOLO and get on with it (in game and out0, things will end when they end.

The "massive blue donut" probably didn't affect the server population as much as the PLEX prices getting high enough for people to stop PLEXING seldom used alts. I say the decline in server population is mostly because of less alts being PLEXED.

Stop making sense.
