I watched a very old homeless person get onto the subway train and then get off at the next stop. I felt so sad for him. Everybody just ignored him and pretended he didn't exist. The system has failed these people.

I watched a very old homeless person get onto the subway train and then get off at the next stop. I felt so sad for him. Everybody just ignored him and pretended he didn't exist. The system has failed these people.


Yeah. Cool that you have compassion for that guy though. That's worth a lot overall, IMO.

As a smoker taking cig breaks on Manhattan streets, I end up meeting lots of homeless folk bumming smokes. Every one I've met has been completely unique regarding what's on their mind. Their particular rant or theme, whatever. But 100%-- literally 100% of those guys-- said "God bless" or gave some kind of benediction wish at the end of the little meeting.

Yeah, it's a sad society that doesn't take care of its own weakest. Not much good can come out of that in the end, you know?

It's OK though, there's still an undercurrent of consciousness in this country. Still some people thinking, evaluating, assessing, noticing bullshite, and picking their own ways.

Me personally, I am going to save up enough money to move to iceland.
I wish to live in the mountains. Where its nice and cold.

If you want to live in the mountains in Scandinavia, you should move to Norway, not Iceland.
