I think it is somewhat important to care about your killboard, especially as a merc in training. The alliance killboard is our proof that we can fulfill customer expectations. If we **** up the killboard flying whatever we think we can afford to lose (for some that's a 270m Astarte), then no customer will think were proficient at our job.

I disagree so badly with this logic.

1) The corporation you joined accepted you know that you have little pvp experience.

2) Yes the killboard is a way for clients to determine whether you can accomplish a job or not, however if you're a new bro & you want to learn, refer to 1).

3) Refer to 1) It should be the veterans of the Corporation/Alliances job to make up for your lacking pvp experience.

4) If you destroy the KB of said Corporation/Alliance & it's an issue, you shouldn't be in the corp, so you don't have to worry about losing stuff when you're trying to learn.

You can disagree all you want but it doesn't change the fact that I and others in the corp are learning through the environment and methods they provide. How is it wrong if it works? We're taught to not just throw your ship at everything that is flashy red, but instead to make sure that if you engage - you win. There should be no guessing or crossed fingers.

I ask, doesn't Sun Tzu teach us this?

Now some (who no doubt only have our best interests at heart) would have me change our environment from one of unicorns and lap dances, into a spartan Agoge'.. Thats just not how we roll. Pimp juice..pimp juice for everyone!
