It took how many years for them to find a wormhole and transverse it in Star Trek? 35 years? Yet we have wormholes in our system every freaki'n day!

I am not sure I will continue to support CCP by actually paying CASH, or PLEX for that matter, for my 3 accounts just to log in and spend the day sitting in a pos bubble.

Some people actually love to mine.

Safety of high sec is just a few jumps away.

Safety of D-scanner and aligned ship is just a few mouse clicks away.

Rolling battleships, orcas, hics, carriers are a few million isk away.

Plenty of options.

If none are acceptable to you, consider this: 95% of wormhole space is empty. So all those connections? Mostly empty, too.

Ahh, life before wormholes. You talk like wormholes have been an EVE feature from day one. Sorry, but the frequency of wormholes now is just too often.

Don't get me wrong, wormholes have their place in EVE now. But the frequency of wormholes randomly appearing is just crazy. Not only that, CCP has tried to make real life physics a part of the game, yet I bet that even Stephen Hawkings would agree that for wormholes to appear as often as they do now would rip space/time.

Let me get this right, you are complaining about one, maybe two wormholes on occasion, leading into your local-protected safety bubble somewhere deep in null?

That's pretty amazing, and slightly pathetic.

Here's a thought, try rolling the holes and closing them and then go about your daily mining.
Or if it's a frigate hole, mine where you're in dscan range on the holes so you can see if anything comes in, if you're aligned then it's not a problem is it.

You're in Brothers of Tangra, if they can't field enough people to close the damned wormholes I'd suggest you find another corp and alliance matey Lol

You seem to be complaining that you can't now go AFK and mine all day in your little pocket of otherwise, bubblecamped safety and complaining that people have a back door past the camps.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

So far nothing but wormhole PvPers that have nothing but their own interests in mind have replied.
I am giving my opinon of the Hyperion release and that within it is the increased frequency of appearing wormholes. I "as a non-wormhole PvPer", do not approve.

Which part of field a fleet to roll the holes did you not understand? You realise you don't have to PvP to jump through a hole right.
Yes of course you do, you're just being finiky because you can no longer AFK 23/7 by the sound of it...

Yes, I PvP in wormholes and K-Space, does that mean I should start commenting on mining in nullsec, a topic I know very little about, because you are doing vice versa. You have other options than run away, hide or log off.

I was trying to find Cobexx's post about wormholes and virgins but alas, I could not find it.

---

Edit: For the record I have a fair few miners in the corp who all know how to roll open holes before they start mining. 90% of them, have very little PvP skills but will do so if neccessary...

Why are these wormholes bothering you? If a neutral shows up in Local just go to your POS until you can investigate where they come from. That should be SOP for a nullbear miner anyway.

If you're suggesting it's less safe to AFK mine now, well, don't AFK mine then; or better, keep on doing it, and just replace mining ships when you lose them from time to time. Big deal.

To play devil's advocate, I am of the opinion that their are far too many frigate holes spawning. From the little bit I have seen, it seems that a large number of holes get 1 at least every other day, if not more holes or more frequently. And, since these are non-closeable, provide a very real security risk that is hard to manage for someone off-TZ or in a small group to start with.
As for other holes, rolling holes that are actually closeable is covered in WH-101 and, even with Hyperion, is quite manageable for a semi-competent small group of 2 or more. It might take some time, but learn to roll and you will be fine until a frig hole opens.

Are there really more spawns in null now?
I just checked my alts alliance wh-intel. It looked to be the half like before hyperion...not to say they are mostly harmless ;)

What exactly is the difference between someone coming through a gate, and someone coming through a wormhole to shoot your ratting carrier?
They both show up in local well before they even had a chance to load grid and that warpout bot that half of bearsec uses certainly doesn't care either.
