I personally like it a lot, but we all know that doesn't matter.

PCU this weekend and PCU a month from now. Get subs back and retain them, and get new subs.

Vote with your dollar.

Easily said but hard to do in a game that's famously difficult.

I'm glad that CCP decided to finally work on EVE but I feel bad that warnings were ignored for so long that good people lost their jobs.

The CSM has little reason to be patting itself on the back here though. These are all old issues that have been worked on. They would have never been worked on if players didn't hit them in the wallet. I will give them credit for at least repeating what forums in and out of the game had been screaming about for years. Shout out to FHC. Home of some of the best discussions on game mechanics properly blended with bitterness and BS.

On a positive note, The game looks great. The new nebulas are amazing! I don't know why ship spinning won't work unless you start with the captain's closet enabled but whatever. Nice work. I can't wait to try out an Alpha strike destroyer! Blink

Two thumbs up on the repair tool as well. The download had a few problems but repair tool got. All together, not bad at all.

For reference, the patch week had the following PCU increases compared to the preceding week:
Wed: +5048; Thu: +2902; Fri: +2337; Sat: +8637; Sun: +7527.

So far, this week had the following PCU increases on top of those numbers:
Mon: ±?; Tue: ±?; Wed: +2852; Thu: +1229; Fri: +821 (two days' data lost due to API errors).

and to think this is just people logging on during certain days it really doesnt say anything about how many subs totally came back but one must conclude that a portion of all those came back are logging and putting time on the clocks.

It's as good a guide as we'll get. Would be handy if players bought a boat load of PLEX too Smile

I have a gadget on my sidebar that shows current PCU constantly, refreshes every few minutes. Pretty neat...

I doubt that EVE will have properly recovered from The Summer of Rage from Crucible alone. Crucible was nice, but I would hardly count it as a "full" expansion. CCP should be happy that the hemorrhaging of players has stopped, but they will need to buckle down and do something incredible for their next expansion in order to truly repair the damage.

The destroyer buff and introduction of the new Battlecruisers has introduced new types of fleets and counters for people to shoot each other with.

The game is genuinely fun right now.

I was one of the people who left EVE after Incarna, Crucible has fixed many many technical things in game (and added some really nice things), but more importantly its renewed my own sense of trust in CCP to an extent.

It really was not comforting to watch such a unique and characterful developer as CCP are, turn towards the dark side of game development, the dark side may have cookies, but EVE has spaceships, and I for one would take spaceships over cookies any day. I'm just glad they came to their senses with the development direction.

So, on that rambling and slightly incoherent note (its been a long day), CCP are winning people back and rightly so.

Good luck CCP.

I really love the new expansion, but Tribes:Ascend beta has had me preoccupied for the past week... =p

I think in a couple more weeks i'll be back to my regular scheduled eve programming, and T:A will finally replace my l4d2 habits. God im tired of that l4d2
