About as legitimate as my side-job as an adult movie casting agent.

You never got back to me... I'm starting to think I didn't get the job....

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Humanity has yet to reach the point of no return.

You know what, why the heck not?

I'm in a good mood tonight.

Send me 50m in game (not alot to gamble) and i will x5 it and send 250m back.

Don't believe me? Don't play and miss out.

Cry about being poor, cry about making assumptions i will not keep my word, cry about philantropists endeavouring to be philantropists - unless you try you'll never know kids Blink

May as well eat all your ISK if you're gonna try to spend it on an ISK doubler.

I said earlier that the doublers were potentially an unsavoury horse to back in any race. Do you have any factual evidence to augment any suggestion that those who offer to quintuple are not legit?

Chribba, for example, acts as a Trusted Third Party for super cap sales. He has a reason to not scam you, as it would harm his business. But he still could.

One of these days, Chribba is going to decide to cash out and scam us all. Just take all the ISK.

That is when I will know that EvE is dying.

I'm more worried about the fact that, if he so chose, he could crash the Tritanium market and wreck the entire economy.

Her curse still resonates.

I just got mails back from these guys saying it was a scam. Like I said, the money I lost was of no concern to me, it's just a learning experience. I am still fairly new (8-10 months iirc) and I am still learning which is why I ask questions. The only reason I hit the trade hub is for the sometimes lower prices. Industry is my thing, and the market is part of it if I want to make any money.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

That you can trust.

My suggestion: minimize Jita local and don't read anything in it. It's almost all lies and garbage anyways.

Everybody knows that the only legitimate ISK doubler in New Eden is Erotica 1.

Here are a list of opther common things you might see in local that are absolutely not true:

1. Willing to pay 2.9 billion for a plex, but only if you use this contract I just linked.
Red Flag: If you have 2.9 billion in escrow on the contract, why don't you just cancel the contract and buy a plex? I have no idea why people fall for this.

2. The subsidized ships scam. It works like this, someone posts a set of links to contracts for, by example, Imperial Navy Slicers for 1 million ISK, saying it's been subsidized by the Good Samaritan Company of Eve (or some such nonsense). Two of the links are to contracts that are already done, and they look good, 1 million each - better hurry and grab that last contract! Except it's for a billion isk, not a million.
Lesson: Read every contract twice. Then reread it. COUNT THE ZEROES! If you smell anything even the slightest bit fishy, move along.

3. Margin Trading. Someone mentioned this scam earlier but basically it depends on you not having a thorough knowledge of the market for the items you are trying to make a quick profit on. No one buys things for three times the going rate. NO ONE. Rule #1 in Eve. If it's too good to be true or the deal of the century or makes you think "I'm gonna make more money thn Scrooge McDuck!", it's a scam of some sort and you are about to lose your pants. You can usually spot these in local as the "LOL Market trading while drunk wish I had the ISK" bots

4. Station Trading. Do not ever do this unless you are trading to an alt (one of your own). If someone tells you they can't do a contract for something, run, do not walk, the **** away.

5. ISK Doubling: Yeah, you got a handle on this one already.

6. Trust NO ONE in Eve with your ISK or assets. Do not trust me, do not trust your corp (past the point necessary to be in a corp), do not trust the happy guy who tells you he can get you into Goons for 500 million ISK. Hell, I don't even trust my own alts. There is exactly one person in Eve you can trust - Chribba, Lord of the Veldspar, Bearer of all Things, Captain of the Mighty Veldnaught. He you can trust*.

*Until he finally decides to end this ten year long con he's running and scamper to the hills with everything in the game that isn't nailed down.

There are quite a few others including:
- the same item in buy and sell sections (you pay money and get X but an X is removed from your inventory at same time)
- variations of the lucrative undeliverable cargo contract scam
- the misnamed item scam, for example the RNI thats just a T1 Raven (more sophisticated versions have multiple items with the first in list correct)

plus more, sitting in Jita or Amarr playing "work out qhat the scam is" can be a fun time-waster.

I regret to inform you we could not use your services at this time.

There was an issue with the rider in your contract about the doughnuts, and the colorful requirement that any fluffers we employed only be referred to as "Fluff Daddy". Frankly, no matter how hard I tried to sell it, there was just no way we could use food items in such a fashion and still remain in compliance with basic US hygiene and license regulations.

I also reached out to an agency in Germany known for 'peculiarities', however part of their response when translated is some kind of profane insult I was previously unfamiliar with.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.
