Gateflash sound effect gone?

Hi, I recently noticed I no longer had a sound effect accompaning the gateflash signal for someone else going through. Is this intended? I've been moving every sound setting I can find, searched forums/googled, and asked ingame and I can't seem to get an answer why I don't have the sound effect anymore.

I just heard the soundeffect through teamspeak from someone else's client, ANYBODY know what bug or setting diabled it for me?

Im also curious if there has been any changes to the Gate activation sound.
