Assume that Hydra doesn't want to see PL before the finals they needed to lose to NS. Now they have a bunch of matches vs middlin teams and meet PL in the finals, instead of next round.

Having been through the losers bracket last year I can tell you that it's a terrible place and nobody goes willingly.

HYDRA just quit after losing the Logi, I believe 100% that they prefer to stay in the winners bracket and face PL instead of dropping to the losers bracket hell.

They just should kept pushing... maybe Nulli had some boundary issues and they could have won.

Just watch the first 2 PL matches. They could have give up at anytime "thinking" that they will loose, but they just believed in the strategy.

And of course, since PL has had a few very close matches, Hydra could potentially push them into the losers bracket and be done with PL.
But done is done, we won. :3

And of course, if you must abbreviate, how about S2N instead of NS?

Hydra had nothing left to push with. They relied on drones to do the pushing and NS smart bombed that DPS away. When the logi later died it was over for them. They didn't have the damage to break NS, so they ended an already lost match instead of pointlessly dragging thing on.

Plus Nulli's setup had very low mobility thus boundary issues were vanishingly unlikely other than for the frigs, which even if they did explode at that point would have made no difference to the outcome.

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.

don't forget that loser's bracket starts the final with one loss. no one wants that.

I think the idea that Hydra lost on purpose to Nulli just so they wouldn't need to face PL before the final is more than a bit silly. Hydra basically broadcast their desire to eliminate tinkers by continually banning Loki and Tengu, S2N called their bluff and brought an odd looking, but ultimately very successful armor tinker. My hats off to S2N, they did a great job and I'm looking forward to see them carry that momentum into the final weekend.
