quick fast mining alts

So I'm looking to make a few minning algs. Issue is been so long what is a good focus. Toon would be training in 2nd slot and be a station alt until ready to chew rocks. Goal is a use able null sec alt w decent skills to live through belts or sites to mine. Will be willing to throw a tip out for a great plan.

I'd say google it but I am sure some newbs out there have the same question so I won't troll.

Here is a pretty good guide by EVE UNI specifically for making a miner alt.

Although I think EVE Uni is overly sensitive in-game, their wiki is pretty damn good. Basic fittings as well as other things can be found there.

If you are too lazy to do that then common sense would say:

Train into mining barge (youll get the mining frigate on the way) such as a procurer or retriever.
Train to mastery level 2 or 3 for the mining barges.
Train into Exhumers
Keep training support skills and possibly reprocessing or some other indy stuff.

Could be wrong but that seems like the basic flow of a miner. Anyways check out the guide.

Personally I love the Skiff, I regularly use it to tramp around seeing what anoms/ice I can find.

It has a massive drone bay for some defence, a decent ore hold and a cargo bay big enough to carry a MTU, and a Mobile Depot.

I take along a change of equipment as well such as Ice Harvesters along with the upgrades.

It can fit a decent tank as well.
