Eastern diamond back Rattlesnake

East cost here USA, so good morning to everybody.

I recent bought me a rattlesnake to do lvl 4 missions. To the new rattlesnake changes and nerf, is the rattle still good pve boat or should I go for something better?

I fail to understand why people keep saying they Nerfed the Rattler, It's a great ship, it just doesn't do what is used to.

Nah, i still very much like my rattler (although i use it for ratting Sansha at the moment). It's got an awesome tank and the changes haven't really 'nerfed' the boat. In fact i did more DPS post-update than pre-update.

Yeah it's crap since it got, erm, nerfed. Total crap. I'll give you, say, 300 million ISK for it. Send me an EVEmail.

But with the drone Dakar bonus and launching two sentries it would be equivalent to the 5 sentries and also southern bonus to kinetic and thermal right?

Look, that thing easily puts out 1500 paper DPS and I am being conservative. It's an awesome ship. Try it, love it. And if not - sell it to me for 300 mil already! Smile

There isnt much "better" to be honest. Marauders, certainly. Machariels in angel space.

It is an ungodly monster. My high sec boat has (with 2x 5% implants) over 1500 DPS, over 100k EHP and a prop mod. Also rigor fit and two painters so the cruise damage gets down no problem.

Does best vs serpentis and guristas rats though, in that order. But I'd take it anywhere, any time.

I use heavy drones though - travel time can be irksome but that's fairly rare.

You should try her with a variation of a fighter drone, believe me you just need the one you are able to launch..

Yes, people genuinely think that reduced it's efficiency.

It did reduce its efficiency. Now you can only blap 2 frigs at a time instead of 5. Means that you end up with more overkill/wasted damage.

If you can't follow what they are saying I suggest you use a less expensive ship until you can.

It's not only great for L4's right now it's better than ever for L4's.

It lost light/medium drone damage/health.
Not being able to hold 5 heavies made it worse if you were out to use heavy ECM or something simliar but not much of a loss.

Has more max DPS than ever.
It's my favorite ship in game and you want to use it for the thing it does best. It's a win!

I finaly tried the rattle snake in a lvl 4 and WOW ITS AWESOME!
