I dont understand. Do you ALWAYS receive the side effects when you consume a booster or is it a chance thing?

I have recovery and control skills I am about to inject.

It's a chance thing.

There is a side effect probability associated with booster usage. That probability is influenced by the booster's base statistics, the level to which you have trained the Neurotoxin Recovery skill, as well as whether any implants are fitted to modify that probability (idk whether the Eifyr and Co. ‘Alchemist’ XA-1 and XA-2 implants still exist ingame, but they're the ones).

If the dice roll falls against you there is then the degree to which that side effect is applied. That severity is influenced by the booster's base statistics, the level to which you have trained the Neurotoxin Control skill, as well as whether any implants are fitted to modify that probability (ditto re the Eifyr and Co. ‘Alchemist’ YA-1 and YA-2 implants).

The probability and severity of side effects increases as you move to more potent combat boosters, with synth (weak) not causing any side effects and standard, improved, strong having respectively higher probability of and more severe side effects ... inline with the potency of their primary effects.

The duration of booster effects is influence by the level to which you have trained the biology skill and the presence of implants that alter that time (ditto re the Eifyr and Co. ‘Alchemist’ WA-1 and WA-2 implants).

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

there are two skills. One reduces the chance to get a side effect, the other one reduces the side effect severity IF you get one.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Synth: No Side effects.Big smile
Standard: 20% chance on getting side effects.Smile
Improved: 30% chance on getting side effects.Sad
Strong: 40% chance on getting side effects.Shocked

This is pre-skills.

They're now helpfully named by the skill name they represent. They fit into slots 8, 9, & 10 respectively in the order below.

Eifyr and Co. 'Alchemist' Biology BY-805
Eifyr and Co. 'Alchemist' Biology BY-810

Eifyr and Co. 'Alchemist' Neurotoxin Control NC-903
Eifyr and Co. 'Alchemist' Neurotoxin Control NC-905

Eifyr and Co. 'Alchemist' Neurotoxin Recovery NR-1003
Eifyr and Co. 'Alchemist' Neurotoxin Recovery NR-1005

The cheaper one of the two options is cheap 1-15m but the cost of the high end is 100-260m

That ^

And side effects do not last as long as the booster does.
