EVE client does nothing after hitting "play"??

Same issue on Linux + wine.
This patch broke my install.

It's not a Mac Only issue, also on Linux its not working after the patch today ...

i'm not in front of my mac to try it out, but have you tried opening the game this way:
Finder > Applications > CTRL + EVE Online icon (choose 'Show Package Contents') > Contents > Resources > 'click' EVE Online.app

That starts the game without the patcher screen...
Have to be patched however, or client will report incompatible.

doing the same thing on ubuntu, played fine last night won't start after patching this morning.

Same issue.

To close the failed launcher open a terminal and type "killall cider"

Interesting.
I can run the Windows Eve client with Wine 1.7.25 on my Mac.
But the Mac client refuses to start after the last patch.

Same problem here - Has anyone tried re-installing the software (I know drastic but....)

It's about time CCP responded with another patch to fix the patch that patched the patch.....

I want to play EVE Online, but after the patch I can't. I'm sad.
I use Mac OS X (10.9.4) via normal PC.
