Hello, I got a new computer and after I downloaded the exe file and ran the exe, I encoutered a problem.

I click the eve online installer exe file. It asks "Do you want to run this file?" I click Run.

Then it says do you want the program to make changes to your computer? I hit yes.

eve online setup window opens. I hit the "next" button.

Here is the problem.
It says space required 18 GB's thats normal. The problem is under that is says space available: -1382.8 GB's
And the install button is grayed out on this page because I assume it thinks I have negative space.

But I got to my computer and I have 2.64 Terabytes free.

I thought that maybe I should try the offline installer so I downloaded those files but the problem still remains.

Any help/suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi hobbes961,

we are aware of the issue our installer has with hard drives bigger then 2TB we are already working on a solution. However there are some ways to work around this, the most straight forward is to use the repair tool:

  1. Download the newest version of the repair tool from here http://cdn1.eveonline.com/client_repair/335/repair.exe
  2. Copy it into the folder you want to install EVE Online into
  3. Run the repair tool inside the folder you want to install EVE Online into (There will be a popup "Confirm path is correct" due to the fact that it can't find a client to repair, just hit OK)
  4. The repair tool will start running through 7 steps, put your legs up and wait for it to finish (Download size is ~5.5GB)
  5. Create yourself a convenient Shortcut to eve.exe.
  6. Start the game.

This should get you up and running in no time.
