I was in San Diego recently with two friends we went out to a few places downtown on a Friday night. First round was on me, so an Adios (for me), a Jack and Coke, and a beer. Came to $55 plus I left $10 for the bartender.

There were college kids teeming down the whole block and I had some interesting conversations about how they afford it all..

In this thread beer drinking people complaining about prices .... as I sip my delicious whiskey and smoke my Nicaraguan cigar for dirt cheap Evil ...

I feel you guys, I feel you Bear

But back on topic, in Panama beer can be found (depending on locale, time of day, current calendar day) from 1$ to 5$ per bottle for all local brews, honestly, drinking booze of all kinds anywhere but Latinamerica is awfully expensive and I think one of the reasons I enjoy it down here.

If any of you ever comes down here Ill invite you some beers, and I´ll gladly pay the first rounds, I´ll drive you to the real places not the tourist traps for the gringos, honest!

Cheers!

Juicy girls are a racket.

I see someone else has been to S. Korea.

Camp Casey... 2ID DIVARTY, 2009. You?

I was visiting my cousin who was stationed there. Kept getting interrupted at various venues with the ever so coy 'Buy me a drink' line.

You could easily avoid situations like these in the future by just leaning over to the lady and softly whispering into her ear : "On the Internet, people know me as Anal Canal...."

but it's more like a cavern (amirite)

ah yes casey. i was a dependent at the time, but I was at casey for one tour, Red Cloud / Hovey for another. about 5 years total.

as a soldier myself I was 1CAV... hood, 2009-2012 (68W E-5 type)

would not do again... STAY IN SCHOOL, KIDS.

Kabukicho in Shibuya or just all of Roppongi after dark. Massively overpriced everything.

Worst was 6800円 / $68 for a rum and coke.

i always hated going to Roppongi. i almost got mugged the last time i went there.

Roppongi used to be the gaijin ghetto of Tokyo. And also the place people went find a quick hook-up. Or where girls went to be recruited for **** films. White foreign guys claimed to be actors, screenwriters or lawyers, and not the regular English teachers they were. African guys claimed to be rastafarians from Jamaica or hip-hop artists from New York or L.A. If you wanted to lose faith in humanity quick, Roppongi was a good place to go. But the embassies' upscale housing was around there, so there were also posh places around. Might be different now, that was a long time ago.

I wonder if the notorious gaijin dive Gas Panic is still around? Or the more upscale but equally sleazy meat market Charleston?

Not sure about the club but its still a hive of flesh and exploitation.

Plenty of guys picking up girls and tricking them into 'adult modelling'. As for the nigerians theres even more now.

I just avoid it like the plague. I much prefer ikebukuro.

as an aside ...ya shoulda seen the fkn boats ....fek sake !
