Let me try and explain it to you then. In my experience, when part of some of the major alliances you will from time to time see FC's rejecting JDC IV dreads (not JDC IV carriers) due to them wanting to hit geographically widespread targets. Furthermore, you were describing ideal skills yet didn't recognise the importance of the jump skills which the above argument illustrates.

Then again I consider JDC V a virtually indispensable skill for both solo travel and fleet movements, especially when talking about ideal skill sets for a capital pilot which apparently operates a carriers too.

I have it on one of my characters, but not on the other who is just baby-stepping into caps now. Let me be clear that, I totally agree at how amazingness the skill is.

However, aside from solo i've never been part of an op that has refused JDC IV and all I could fly was a dread up until a month ago on my pvp character.) nor was it ever even brought up. So i'm gonna have to suggest it's likely personal experience taking a part and the corporation/entities you are part of.

and it does seem to make a world of difference with solo travel doesn't it?

Either way OP will probably put everything at 4 and move on anyway =P

The difference between JDC V and JDC IV can be huge, both in time and tactically but don't foget JFC. That MUST be at IV- V is preferable but fuel costs at 600/unit (1800/unit for oxygen than's to the current ice war) can drain you.

Yes, because alliances stop waging wars because dread fuel costs too much... Roll
